Google Adwords CPC Warning

I just did my first CPC campaign but I forgot to set the target countries. As a result my daily limit of £100 got blown from a bazillion clicks from India and China.

On day 2 I limited it to English speaking countries, got just 9 clicks at a total cost of $4 and made my first CPC profit of $50. Pretty damn good ROI. But what I want to know is why would anyone in Asia and the far east click randomly on ads? what is the point? or am I missing something?

Do you have the content network turned off? It could be adsense ad clicks over there...

It was search only. Do you mean an automated adsense fraud accident ?

I think the asian peoples mainly indian and chinese are interested in advertisements but after visiting the site they find that they need to pay but they don't have either credit card or enough money.

It was a squeeze page, completely free, so that wasn't it, but thanks for the reply.

Was it google only or the "search partner network"... The quality of lots of those sites varies greatly...

It included the partner network. Thanks for the advice

No problem... You might want to test offers on google first... Then scale the traffic by adding the other networks later once you have maxed out your conversions on G Search.
