I learned a very valuable lesson today, wishing I had learned it 3 days ago.... I submitted an article to EZA, and almost instantly had about 100 hits and 40 click-throughs - I was ecstatic! I felt I was on to something... I submitted another article on the same topic the next day....now at +70 reads - not a single click-through....what the ????? So upon checking my submission I realized (okay start throwing the mushy rotten fruits and veggies) that my RESOURCE BOX was filled with some default text and NOT the text I wanted to have in place! AARRGGH! 70+ potential sales down the drain! That's like writing an article on golf and including a link in your Resource box to a promotion on feminine hygiene products (not that the two might not in some slim-chance way get you a few click-throughs) So an important lesson was learned today: Check and RE-CHECK your articles in its entirety before you click that submit button, cause now I have 70+ people reading my resource box thinking "what the...." This happened to me with a brilliant article that had 100+ clicks in a week. I had sent them all to the wrong website!!

Yup, next time try to prepare the bio boxes... Check and recheck? I always suggest to my coaching clients that for fast writing to check only ONE time. In fact, bio boxes should be ready to go. Article marketing and speed go together. At a certain point, ones shouldn't even check the grammar. I don't. Article writing needs speed. All the best, Franck. |

Yes, I agree with the post above. I have several instances of Notepad open on my desktop. In each is a part of the article submission process. Title, summary, body of article, author's bio. I modify a piece and go on to another article directory. TomG. |

Unfortunately, I think that kind of stuff happens to everyone if they submit enough articles. You hit it on the head: Make sure you double and triple check prior to submitting.

this happened to me the other day one one of my submissions. i was too pissed to find out. Not paying attention sometimes can truly bite you in the azz. Its never a good thing. I learned though....stay focused and as you guys have already said, check, double and triple check. Its the only way to avoid certain catastrophe |
