Unless you provide more info than "But all the videos where my own personal videos", I doubt anyone here can help.

What kind of videos were they? Were their any copyrighted images? Were they affiliate marketing videos? Sales videos?

Sounds to me like you need to unplug your modem overnight to reset your IP address and sign up using a new username and email. I doubt you'll get those vids back...but you have copies, anyways, right?

They shut down tons of accounts a while back - a lot of them were accounts where people were marketing something... So, if you are using the account for business, they seem to frown upon that.

Youtube will usually give you a three strikes and your out.

Before your account was closed, had any of your videos been removed by youtube? Had your account received any warnings about the types of videos you posted?

Usually, youtube will not close an account with one strike unless there is a serious violation of the rules.

Was there any strange activity.... trying to increase page views or surge in bulk traffic or clicks...

that might have been one of the reasons

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

Remember you tube is owned by Google...Yet another way to receive the Google SLAP!

That's why I never put all my videos in one account.Hope you had backups of the videos. I store all my videos on Amazon's S3, an inexpensive way to store data.

Is it possible that a competitor reported your videos? That's been happening a lot, too and if it's promotional in any way - you're gone. They want you to pay to advertise. Bottom line is don't put something that you wouldn't want to lose on somebody else's property. I know it sucks because I've been there and I can't believe how many millions of copyright violations are on that site yet they ban little ole me lol.

Promotional videos will get you booted??? Have you ever seen the youtube channel for TigerDirect?

Every video that TigerDirect post is a sales pitch. But the videos also provide some kind of content that helps the consumer. If your looking for information on a camera, TigerDirect probably has a video about it, and a link to the TigerDirect store.

A lot of it has to do with "how" you present the information.

Are you posting videos with no real content, example - "buy this really cool product"

Or, are you posting videos that describe the product, features, price, comparison, and contribute something back to the youtube community,,,,?

If you do not know who tigerdirect is, they are a major electronics reseller

When you post that video, ask yourself - "does it add anything of value to the youtube community?"

Yes - chances are your video will stay up.

No - chances are its going to be removed and your account might receive an infraction.

Arnel -in the abs niche had his youtube acct closed. He was getting thousands of views per day and had the #1 slot for abs.. The sad thing was each of his videos has like close to a million views or something huge like that.so they are doing it to a lot of people.
