Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had an answer to this question? I'm looking to start up several websites on different marketing subjects and well as market other items/digital products as well. How would I go about putting at the sites under one company name or would I have to go a different route? Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.....

I will suggest you start gradually (one after the other). You don't need to rush yourself. It is not how massive your idea is that matters, it is what you are about to achieve from it. You can start by testing one of your marketing subjects and see how acceptable is it, before spending lots on setting up a complex site with big concept which might not add any value or make much different.

Yes, I know lol but, I already have several sites ready to go. I just need to know how to go about setting it up though. I'm in the finishing stages of completing my disclaimers, privacy and terms policies and need to figure out how to set the company name as to have it under one umbrella so to speak. I do appreciate your thoughts on this matter very much.

Based on your question it appears you're asking about the best way to legally structure your business. If that's the case you'll get much better advice consulting an attorney.

At one time the common answer was, "form an LLC."

In June the Florida Supreme Court pierced the "corporate veil" by ruling in favor of the Federal Trade Commission in "Olmstead v. Federal Trade Commission" in a matter relating to the use of a LLC to protect assets.

Unless successfully appealed to a higher court this decision will be cited throughout the U.S. in the future. The case regarded satisfaction of a judgment against a debtor.

People structure businesses to protect themselves. In this particular case, Olmstead "―operated an advance-fee credit card scam." [http://www.floridasupremecourt.org/p...0_Opinion.pdf] but, according to several attorneys, the simple fact that a single owner LLC has been liquidated, due to a judgment against the owner--not the corporation-- is causing a lot of conversation in legal circles.

Bottom line: the "old" conventional advice may not be the best advice.

I'm not sure exactly what your asking. What do you mean how would you set them up under one biz name? Do you mean for your payment processor, for an LLC or ?

I don't know how this could affect you from getting started. But maybe consulting an attorney would be the best case. Usually I'd say form a corportation (LLC) but I'm no lawyer and after the above post it might not matter.

So maybe I should ask why are you needing to set it up under one name? For tax purposes, hosting purposes, billing, etc?

Just from reading the OP i say form a corp. (again I don't think we can legally advise you on this so take it for what it's worth) I'm going to school to be a lawyer but not even in law school yet, lol. So can't exactly help with the legal stuff.

      Hello

My apologies on not getting back with you until now. I had some major family problems.

Any chance you can get me an example of what you mean? Thank you in advance.

If they are all closely related, then you can create your ideas in hierarchical form by using the google wonderwheel. With the wheel, you can see how google expects your site to be structured, then create categories and sub categories, then articles under the subcategories accordingly. Unless you are not interested in search engine traffic.

Are you by chance just trying to increase your post count?

I don't think you need a company just yet. I personally a guy on ezine articles have like 1,300 articles leading to small amazon and clickbank sites. These sites promote only one or two products, and he has a list of different subjects. I'm working on that but you don't need a company. If you feel to be more safe then create your own LLC.

I'm from the UK and operate under a company name, rather than as an individual, for legal and tax purposes. It makes sense for me to do this, but I wouldn't really know the ins and outs if you are based in the US or elsewhere
