Need Advice! How To Increase Facebook Fan Page Fans?

Hello Warriors,

It's been a while now since my last visit but I am really getting desperate this time. Members from this site have always helped me on my struggles when it comes to strategies and methods. So I am hoping that, in this quick visit of mine, somebody out there may really be able to help me. I am really having a hard time increasing the number of fans on my fan page. Stats are good for my keywords....yet my number of fans isn't.

My question is really simple yet, as for my perspective. easier said than done. So....how do you increase the number of fans on facebook without costing a penny......not even a cent......?

I am looking forward for your insights......

    Yeah...I just installed the facebooktabsite application thing and still nothing is happening. Well, its still four days though since I installed it.... But thanks for the heads up.... that sure got me thinking....

        Well, just the usual thing.... Adding friends.....suggesting the page to them plus installing the tabsite application.... Just the usual things....

        BTW...the facebook thing that I'm talking about is not the link on my signature....

        I know that the best way to do it is to go for an ad on facebook itself but I was really looking for alternative ways to meet the same end as the paid one....

    The ethical and best way to get targeted fans for your fan page is to advertise in facebook itself.

    Invite your friends to like you then ask them to invite their friends to do the same. Not going to be target fans but it seems you just want quantity and not quality and you want free. That's about all I got!

    If you are gonna do that, the easiest way is to use facebook PPC, but i know you said without costing a cent... SO here is what I would do... I would find someone in my niche... Say its Golf... I would find the PGA TOUR fansite - which has about 100k fans... Then I would start participating like crazy and interacting like crazy and then friend as many of them as fast as you can.... as you are in the conversation at the PGA fan site - try to reply to peoples comments as soon as they hit... Then try to friend them. Once you have built up a bunch of your own friends - then you can start pushing out content on your fan page and start letting your friends know about it...

    Then, once you have built up a good number of fans - say 5k or more, then you can start contacting the owners of other similar sized fan pages in the niche and start cross promoting each others fan pages to each of your respective members... And just rinse and repeat as your fan page grows.

    Its slow. You will need to live on FB for a while. But its free. Good Luck!

      That makes sense....but If ever I would reach that point... I think there's no need to sell it....

    sambakker some good points. I'm not sure about hiding content from non fans. The idea is to make your content/fan interaction attractive enough so people want to be fans to be kept up to date and to participate.

    If you want targeted faces who are active on your fan page, the best way is to joins relevant groups, interact with people and build up credibility. People will naturally become friends with you and you can then invite friends to join your fan page.

    Once you have credibility, you can also "occasionally" promote your fanpage.

    Takes time and work but the results are well worth it.

    The number of fans will just increase if the people will get interested in your page. It is best also that you will promote you page to other people. Just be patient.
