How Do You Use PLR Successfully?

I'm curious about the successful methods people have used with PLR! I have a TON of PLR on my hard drive that I have collected over the years. Some of it I have used and some of it I haven't. What ways have you successfully used PLR?

Let me give you a couple of things I have done with PLR. I have set up mini sites promoting affiliate marketing, products, etc using PLR without changing the PLR one bit. I understood that the chances of Google indexing the material because of duplicate content was very slim but I used targeted, low-cost ppc to drive traffic to the site so I didn't care. Since I didn't have to rewrite the plr, I was able to get the sites up more quickly.

I have taken plr ebooks and reports and broken them down into an autoresponder series. Once again, I didn't change the plr because it was going to an individuals email address so I didn't have to worry about changing the plr to get indexed.

I have used plr in membership sites without changing the plr. It was available only to members eyes and so, once again, indexing was unimportant.

Of course, you can use plr as bonuses, giveaways, etc as long as the terms allow it!

Have you used plr in a way not mentioned here? I am ALWAYS interested in finding creative ways to use this stuff!

Thanks and take care!

There are tons of ways to profit with PLR.

The easiest way is probably to just sell it as it is.

A better way is to just change the name and affiliate links and sell it.

An even better way is to change the graphics of the product and repackage it.

The best way is to use multiple PLR products, take the best content from that and add your own content to make a totally new and better product that people will really benefit from.

    Short and sweet...

Alot of people wind up with oodles of PLR on their hard drives, and most of it isn't any good (hence why it's just sitting there!)

Unfortunately, PLR has gotten a bad rap because there is so much junk out there. However, there are some great things that you can do with good PLR - you can use it for a newsletter series, an ebook, ideas for your blog posts, etc.

Just be careful if you plan on selling it. Depending on where you got it, reselling it may violate the terms of service.

My favorite way is to reformat the PLR into a completely new product. I don't think I've ever used PLR as is without at least a little bit of changing or additional material but some I've barely tweaked and it's done well.

Take a good instructional ebook and break it up into an ecourse (or a membership site which is the next thing I'm doing). This works well and is super easy to do. Add an assignment to the end of each lesson and you're good to go. This is a good list builder.

Take several really good articles and combine them into a report. You have to tweak some to make it flow and I always add material, too, but it cuts product creation time down considerably. This is another good list builder but you can also use it as a full blown product, if you do a good job.

Take a general PLR ebook, report or whatever and nichify it. For example, a book about blogging for cash becomes Blogging for SAHMs. Or a cat health book becomes Your Maine Coon Cat's Health.

Those are my three favorite methods at the moment.

That's funny you say that. I had a Maine Coon Cat a few years ago and that cat was BIG. I love those cats!

That was the breed of my very first cat and she was humongous! Had one litter with one kitten that was the size of my aunt's 6 week old kittens. Had double paws all the way around, too.
