Article Resource Link Direct to Amazon?

Hi,
Can an article submitted to ezinearticles (or other directory) include an Amazon affiliate link directly in the resource box? Instead of point user to a landing page and then to Amazon affiliate link?

I read Amazon affiliate's terms of service, and it seems that they only object to direct links when it is a paid method - such as pay-per-click or advertisements that would include an affiliate link.

Thanks,
Anna

  • This is against the terms of EzineArticles. I expect that Amazon is less bothered.

The only way around it with Ezine is to register a top level domain, then get that domain to redirect straight to the product page. But, how cost-effective that strategy is for physical products is open to debate (I'm sure there are a few products that it would work well for).

    Anna,

You're better off building an amazon blog and then use the ezinearticle to backlink to your amazon blog. Be sure to use good anchor text in your resource box to really get the most of your link. So if you're trying to rank for "widget X" in google, be sure to put "widget x" in the text of your resource box and link it to your site....Very effective strategy to build effective backlinks!
