Hey guys... I am trying to build some links to my website...

I am using these sites:
Xanga, Hubpages, Squidoo, Infobarrel....

I was wondering if there were any other Web 2.0 sites like this?

Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestions guys. You might also want to try building small blogs or sites.

I have a quick question though if you use your adsense id on all these linking back to your main site will google bother that you're linking yourself. It appears very obvious to be backlinking efforts right? And not putting your adsense id there would be a lot of lost revenue especially when you do it on a big scale? So what do you do.

    Google Warrior,

The web 2.0 rev share/non-rev share content aggregation online space is very saturated and competitive. You can look into Suite101, Xomba, Bukisa, etc.....I do highly encourage you to review each site's respective TOS when it comes to linking, however. Some have limits on external linkage, and they may also allow contextual linking (as opposed to a direct call to action)

Many use HubPages, and have had great success, but, just remember, it's essentially all or nothing with them when it comes to linking. Your author rank (not individual article rank) needs to be above 75. When your author score reaches 75, all your article links will become DO-follow. If you allow your author score to fall below that threshold, all your links will automatically revert to NO-follow.

          Wilson,

The premise that HubPages' criteria is built upon is similar to Squidoo's incentivization of the lenses into 'tiers': that is, that Google typically ranks content that is updated and fresh, continually higher than content that isn't fresh. HubPages' is accomplishing this by providing an inherent mechanism for people to continually update their content so that it stays up 75....

Squidoo has a tiered payment system, but articles slip in the 'lensrank' system if they aren't continually updated. I do think that Google values updated content, on the same token, I do know that Info Barrel doesn't really provide an incentive or mechanism for updated content, and, even still, many of my articles still are totally crushing it in terms of views. You can update your content 20 times a day, but if you have SEO'd it properly, it may not do great in Google...and, the inverse is true, as well.

Even with Squidoo's continual incentivization of people to update content, they were still hammered (slapped) by Google...so...lol...I don't know...it certainly isn't going to hurt a site if they are constantly incentivizing users to update content.

Hey, do not use xanga as they are no follow. Focus on do follow sites to build up your page rank. These no follow sites are a waste of your time and money.
