Google Caffeine....is it a big factor?

I read today that Google have once again changed their search methodology, calling it "Caffeine".

According to the article I read this means that the traditional method of Google accepting websites has changed. If this is true, can anyone please advise how this will affect page rankings and position rankings on Google.

In other words has SEO changed forever?

Also how does one know if WSO offers now include this new methodology or are merely using an antiquated algorithm?

    As Chris says, Caffeine has been in effect for a while now. It's been publically available to test (before it was implemented) for around 6 months too.

    In short, a few things have changed (IMO for the better), but I wouldn't say it's a major change.
