Can anybody help me with the sign up for ebay network partners

Hi guys,

Just got the email from ebay to prove i own the sites that i put down when i filled the form out but can anybody help me out please ebay sent this..

  1. Create a plain text file from a text editor and in the contents put only your unique identifier (provided below).
  2. Save the file as 'epndomain.txt'.
  3. Upload the file to the base directory of each of your domains that you would like to register

Sorry for bein stupid here but im not sure how to create a plain text file or where to upload it ??

Can anyone please help me out ?

    just use notpad, paste the unique identifier into it and then name and save it as epndomain.txt then you upload it to the base directories as they say. That's in the file manager in your cpanel.


    Or you can make a new file in your file manager calling it epndomain.txt edit it and paste the unique identifier in there

      Ok cool got that bit, how do i upload it to the base directories ? Sorry if its dead simple i`m not even sure what a base directory is :confused:

    is there anybody that can tell me how to upload to a base directory ? Where is it ? though filezilla ?

      Hi
      A base directory is the public_html folder on your site.
      If you acess your site from a FTP program you'll see public_html folder
      click on it and drag and drop epndomain.txt file you created into that folder.

      You can use filezilla or you can just log into your cpanel, click on file manager, then web root - you will see your website pages there. Then upload the file, or make the file there. It's the same path if you use filezilla.
