What to do if WP Plugin doesn't does in Admin?

I just uploaded the Sociable plugin to my blog, but it is not showing up in the Plugins section of the Admin. I've added plugins before, and this install is no different from the others, but it just won't show up. I've logged in and out of Admin - and still no love.

Any ideas?

Try going into settings and looking at the top for it to be listed beside Permalinks and those other settings.

Some plugins create their own area to really customize the app. with several different settings.

Double check the plugin folder too, I've unziped PI's in the past only to find additional zips in the package.

WP will not recognize a zip file.

Yes, sometimes when you unzip you actually create a directory within a directory by the same name. Then when you upload WP doesn't recognize the plugin because it is looking at the top-level directory. Ex:

        You may upload:

        Socialable/Socialable/socialable-files

        when you need to upload:

        Socialable/socialable-files

Anytime my plugin didn't show it was because of this.

*bangs head on desk* This is what I get for doing stuffs on Sundays ... ummm wait ... I'll blame "Fibro fog" tonight = yeah, that's it!

I unzipped the folder just fine, but uploaded the main folder, forgetting that the actual folder is within. I should have known better.

Got it up, got my first poll up ... even got some of the layout changed since that wasn't so readily apparent.

Now to figure out what else I need for my blog. Already have 4 plugins. I've gone through 20+ themes, and I still don't think I've found what I want. Typical gal I guess hehe.

Thanks for everyone's help. Sorry it was so simple and that I was just having a brain-fart.
