Google Adwords Frustration?

I am not sure if any of you use Google Adwords, but I have for years now and I spend alot of money doing it. I am considering changing venues altogether.

Does anyone have ant suggestions for a new way to promote on the search engines?

I am spending 3-5ooo per month now but its starting to look like a waste.

Any ideas are appreciated.

I have been using Google Adwords for some years and even though I am on front page 1 for many search phrases I was scared to turn it off. Our spend got to be $5 to $7,000 a month.
Recently I plucked up courage and turned it off but at the same time I have been promoting long tails and getting them up on page 1
At the moment I am Adwords free for 21 days 12 hours and 26 minutes and touch wood my sales have not shown any major drop.
Its a hard decision I am still nervous but $5-$7000 a month is alot of money and the drop in sales would have to be huge to make me turn it on again
    Good Luck !!

I have used Adword and I leave it quickly, because it is not game for newbies. If you are not Master of that system then you are going to loose your shirt. To become successful you should have vast and deep knowledge of PPC. You should have also vary big budget. Small mistake with setting your ad and you loose dollars.
Second thought is why should we pay for google first page when our ezinearticle or website or blog can be on first page after some hard work? If you searched at google then you will find many hubpages, squiddo pages and blogger blogs dominate first page.

Think of it and take design.

For one thing, add a signature to your forum profile, especially on a forum like this. You can spend 100-200 for some killer articles and have your keywords, carefully researched. This can easily add tons of great backlinks, to your site and your rankings will be better as well.

if you are earning a profit with your adwords spending, then continue. If you are at a loss, then freeze your ads and do some modifications and see if it gets better. Adwords these days is expensive (search network).

You can try the content network and see if that works better for you.

After a long time, you really should only be running profitable keys in your system.

You should be looking at removing any non profitable keys from the system, those that have a low conversion rate / combined with a higher cost to your product / service value. / removing keys that do not make you money.
