Hello!

Back on the forums with yet another question from myself (they are neverending - my apologies)

But now I'm trying to sign my blog, which is finally ready for promotion (woo!) up to the google, yahoo, and bing search engines. I'm having a hard time though, because I'm trying to verify my sites authentication by adding a meta tag to my home page. My home page is a blog with continually added content so I'm not sure how or where to be adding this html too?

This is probably silly haha, but ya I'm really not sure and I'm afraid of delving into the code myself before asking for fear of misconstruing the code or something...

Please let me know what to do or how I can do this - thanks so much!

P.S Get ahold of me on Skype if that would be easier

    Hi!

From my experience, once you've verified ownership.. there really is no further need for the code they give you.

So... just take the code they give you and add it to an HTML page and call it "index.html"; then upload that to your root, (same place you see index.php).

Verify your site with them... go to the next verification process and do the same thing with the same "index.html" file, (deleting the prior verification code, of course).

Wash, Rinse, Repeat ... until done.

That's the easiest way that I know of...

Ok...well I actually haven't quite figured this out yet lol. I've never done this before, meaning any of it really (working with a hosting cpanel or wp admin) so if someone could perhaps explain this process to me in watered down steps I'd be most grateful and give you a big ole' wf thanks!

Hasn't anyone ever done the site verification for the blog with bing, yahoo, and google? I'm using a wp blog and I have my html code I'm just confused with the directions they give. Can anyone help explain this to me alittle easier?
