I have chosen a niche, got my niche keyword domain which has more than 10,000 (14,800 to be exact) searches monthly for the exact term. I have also set up a wp site (no content) and done basic on-site seo. It is now on the no.1 spot in google... Now what?

How do I make money out of it? Anyone can suggest something?

Thanks in advance

It's difficult for anyone to help you on how to make money with it when we have no idea what the Niche is.

Depending on the niche I would either put adsense on there - OR use it to build a list.

You could create a product, and a free report - use the free report to build the list, create an OTO to sell the product, and carry on building and marketing to the list.

Like I say, really depends on the Niche

You could also start by offering affiliate products in that
    niche.

I'd add content to the site, and get some more external
links to help the site "stick" in that position. Often a site
initially ranks high until the search engines do a deeper
    evaluation.

Don't make the same mistake I did in my early IM career...

Collect names & e-mail addresses and market to them.

Thanks for the quick replies. Point noted.

By the way, what kind of mistakes did you make abednego? ... If you are not too busy...

I'm going to assume you are doing a blog, so be sure to add some great content. Build a relationship with our visitors with your content. To monetize, you could put products from Clickbank, Commission Junction, Share-A-Sale, etc., and/or use Google Adsense.

As Kev said, definitely put an opt in on the page so that you can start building your list.

    Hi CashCalf,

My question is, why did you choose that particular niche?

Did you choose it because you thought that it had a lot of searches, or did you choose it because it is a niche that 'YOU' are in to?

First thing that I would do is either find or create some really hot articles,(maybe pepper some videos in also), that anyone coming to your site will see value in. You know, the kind of stuff that you would instantly tells there friends or make recommendations. At the same time I would also make comments on the articles as well.

This will do two things for you.
1: If the articles or videos are good, people will begin to come and look forward to what you will have coming next. (Building Fans).
2: When you make comments on the videos or articles, people will automatically see you as an expert in that niche.

If you do these two simple things then when you are ready, you will be able to monetize the readers (fan base) of your WP-Blog. Either through affiliate products, or through Adsense, or your own products. Hope this helps.

Wow! Thanks so much for the advice people... Sometimes it really boils down to "we know what to do but we don't do what we know" situation...

My question is, why did you choose that particular niche? Did you choose it because you thought that it had a lot of searches, or did you choose it because it is a niche that 'YOU' are in to?

Good question Harold... I usually go for "a lot of searches" but I am beginning to see that this particular niche is really not my cup of tea but then we learn along the way don't we. What about you guys? Searches or niches?
