Congratulations Jacqueline - I've only managed a few hundred dollars so far but have learnt a lot along the way ! It's great to have a forum like this where we can share successes hopefully I'll be able to post one someday !

I agree with all the suggestions you've been given so far above, the only thing I would add is to ensure you keep your focus on nett profit rather than sales. I've spoken to web marketers in the past who're extatic about the fact they're starting to make a few hundred per month, but when they look into what they're spending - they realise that they're making no profit

Also as you grow, focus on growing your net profit.

Offline business "experts" will talk about growth meaning to increase overheads & increase turn over, while your net profit gets smaller & smaller - I know of at least a couple of apparently very successful well known web marketers who fell into this trap & went bust, because they were successful in terms of sales, but not in terms of net profit, and that's what really matters.

I did the same with an offline business, I was turning over about a million dollars per year, but because my focus was on growing sales - not on growing net profit - I built a monster, which fell over with a huge BANG!

Some of the "Guru's" have built large organisations with teams of staff, big overheads - and they look like they're doing amazing - but actully in terms of the nett profit that they are personally banking, with some of them it is zero - or minus! - meaning that despite the image & the apparent success, they're making diddly squat.

So just keep in mind as you go forward, that it's about nett profit, it's not about sales, it's not about building massive turnover, it's about what's left over in your pocket.

I always feel much better when i hear of another persons success. Especially when I am losing hope myself. I have been going at this whole internet marketing for around 6 month's now and although I'm learning tons every day with new skills I just can't seem to get my first sale yet

Any advice that may help me out?

Congratulations. I still remember my first sale online back in late 2008. I remember so many times being ready to give up because I hadn't made any money and then I got my first sale with Clickbank. Those months that followed I would get a sale here and there, and each time I got a sale it would motivate me to promote more and more until eventually I am at the point of at least 1 sale per day whether it be through Clickbank or another affiliate program (still have the odd day where I make no money though). Wish I would of known about WF when I first started out, so much great information on this forum.

For those of you that asked how I made my first dollar.......adsense. I started several websites and forums in my niche a few months ago. They are all doing well making their way up the google ladder. I didn't expect to see any profit from them just yet. I signed up for adsense when the sites were created and just received my PIN in the mail. I input it and there it was......I have had adsense income from the first month and didn't even know it.

My advice for everyone waiting for their first earnings......DON'T GIVE UP......review what you are doing and see if it can be improved.....if it looks good and you think you're on the right track, be patient......stay focused and work hard! If you haven't given up on the "Get Rich Quick" concept yet....do so RIGHT NOW! This is a business, this is work....hard work in the beginning. There is money to be made in internet marketing....period! There is no reason why you can't be successful....you will get out of it what you put in.

Success is ours for the taking.

Great job, now all you need to do is figure out what worked and helped you get the sale and make sure to continue to do more of that.

And congratulations the first one is the hardest one ever they only get easier now that you really know you can make money with this just put in the work and continue to put money back into your business and grow it and outsource when you can afford it to continue to grow.

Making money online is about, what works to me.


When you find a method, which works for you, stick with it, expand and make more money on it.

Take it fx. fra 2 dollars a day to 30 dollars a day, if possibel.

When you master this technique, keep doing it - and add new techniques/income streams to your business. This is how you build up to 200 D a day, which to most people will do for a full time income.
