Site Flipping

I am planning to sell a profitable site on Flippa in a couple of days to raise some funds.

What is THE best guide on site flipping? I am looking for some tips from seasoned warriors in this area. For e.g. I read on some site that it is best to set a bid price of $1 etc.

Should I get familiar with such techniques or just go ahead and list my site?

    I've sold close to 80 sites on Flippa.

    If you have a profitable site it will sell it's self.

    Most flipping books are about selling startup sites or building profitable sites and flipping them.

    Like I said if your site is profitable it will sell at a nice price no problem.

    I would definitely start at one dollar.

    Answer all questions quickly.

    Attach all proof of traffic and earnings for as far back as you can go, the longer the better.

    Don't lie or exaggerate, people will call you out.

    Look at recent successful auctions and use their listing as a template. Don't straight rip them, but use the same elements.

    Go for at least 10 months revenue.

      Do you put a reserve? A lot folks recommend no reserve but the thought of someone getting my established/making money site for $20 freaks me out.

      Yes i agree - very good advise

      If you have good revenue to prove then your site will sell itself - ive sold sites whilst adding a reserve and not - i didnt see much difference and the sites without reserve sold for more then i would have reserved anyway -

      but it is a good selling point to say you have no reserve and your listing will show some big text like reserve met bidding open -

    when i flip site I build them up with traffic, content, get them indexed with a page rank and put them up on flippa and let the site do all the selling for me. hard to turn down a site that has page rank and traffic already wait for you to take over..
