How would you spend a 300 dollar budget

Hi all

At the startup of our new website we have decided to set a 300 dollar budget for this month.

We already spent 37 dollars on keyword research

We are planning on using 80 dollars on having 40 articles written and another 40 dollars on having the articles sent around on various directories/blogs etc. For this I plan on using this offer.
http://www.warriorforum.com/warriors...le-prices.html

so by my calculation we have around 143 dollars remaining for marketing (primarily SEO)

Anyone have any ideas on how we should spend our money to get the most traffic to our site?

Kind Regards

If I were you, I would diversify and place some of the money into pay per click marketing. That's the fastest and easiest way to grow your business and generate leads. Do keyword research for your niche and find the one's with the most traffic with little cost.

    Hey Johstin

    Funny you should mention it

I just created a PPC kampaign using our best keywords, and I am looking forward to seeing how much traffic this will generate over the next few days..

Nice idea, could you mention one or two people who offers this service?

And how will these backlinks be made? i constantly get spam comments on my blog I have to delete by people who post some meaningless comment to get a backlink I would not like to have someone spam blogs for my website..

Hmm aren't xrunner services just forum and blog spamming? or am I missing something?

Well, that part certainly sounds potentially a good idea.

For myself, I find it really hard to envisage any value beyond backlinks in a $2 article. And you don't need an article to get a backlink.

I haven't looked at the link you gave, but it sounds like these will be "backlink value only", I think?

I'd strongly suggest staying very well away from PPC unless you have plenty of successful experience with it and really know what you're doing. PPC advertising characteristically has a long, slow, often expensive learning curve, and typically one shouldn't expect one's first few hundred dollars spent on it to produce anything much more than "experience".

I really do share your concerns about the article quality, that is why I have ordered a 5 article trial before I commit to having any more made

The service seems nice enough, but honestly I primarily want the articles for website content, any backlinks produced with them would be a nice bonus.

Your input on PPC is noted and much appreciated

I agree, and for that you could probably get more backlinks by investing the money in other services. Or get less articles but of better quality.

You could hire people to do blog comments, hire people to make web 2.0 properties for you (like tumblr, squidoo, etc...)

I haven't looked, but you can probably find people to do that in the Warriors For Hire section.

BTW - if your $2 articles turn out to be of good quality feel free to share the source!

I would buy a new digital camera that films in HD. My wifes camera is the only one we have that films in HD. So instead of having to borrow her camera all the time, I would like to buy a new one.

Something else I would like to buy is a lapel mic. I dont like having to get right up to the camera to be heard. Awhile back I filmed some good video, and had to scrap all of it because the audio was so faint my voice could barely be heard.

My computer could use a new quad core or 6 core cpu, windows 7 professional and about 6 gigs of memory. That video editing eats up the CPU time.

I also need some 1 terabyte hardrives. I only have about 40 - 60 gigs free right now.
