Hi,

I've just purchased a new camcorder, and have some questions about the best way to set things up for producing video for the web. The camera is a Canon Vixia HF200, and I am using Sony Vegas for initial editing, and then converting to .flv using FLVProducer.

My questions are:

1) What quality should I use for recording (MXP, FXP, XP+, SP or LP)? Note that I am just recording a talking head, so I assuming I don't need the highest quality here...

2) When I render as .avi in Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD, there are a bunch of settings I can adjust. What is recommended for:
a) Frame Size
b) Frame Rate
c) Field Order
d) Pixel Aspect Ratio
e) Video Format

3) For Audio in Sony Vegas:
a) Audio Format
b) Sample Rate
c) Bit Depth
d) Channels

What should I set this stuff to in order to maximize quality while being mindful of the end-user's bandwith, etc.?

Thanks!

Mike

Interesting as I also have Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD, but it will not recognize my canon HD movies or even sony. I must first convert them to AVI, then it accepts them which is naff to me.

I use 30fps 720X1280 keep the rest as default.
