Wordpress install question

Need a little help please. I am muddling through installing my first wp via hostgator. I set up the new name and everything and it shows it is installed in the directory for that name but when in the dashboard area of wp the name of the site is the name of my original hostgator site which I have never put a site on yet. Any idea what I could have done wrong? Thanks, Kate

    In your Wordpress admin area, scroll down to "settings" at the bottom of the left hand menu.

    Choose "general" and the first option is "site title" - change that and you should be ok.
