How Many Times A Day or Week Do You Check Stats?

Ugh I used to check like 10 times a day but realized that every time I would check I'd end up jacking around for a few minutes until I get back into the swing of work. So now I've set blocks on my statcounter and AdSense and only allow the site to be accessed on mondays and thursdays =)

Worked great, productivity = up!

I check way too often and it does interrupt my work flow! I'd love to know how you set blocks on Adsense?

Ya there are definitely different methods that require constant checking, I only check weekly because everything I'm doing doesn't need daily attention (hell i could check monthly and it would be fine)

I think those more successfull would check less regularly excepting when they need to keep an eye on certain promotions. Newer players will keep checking to see if they have had 2 or 3 more hits than the last hour. With advertising it sometimes needs to be monitored more closely as it is costing money. With receiving money there isn't much reason to constantly be checking it.

Too much its so addicting like a bad drug habit lol. I need to put a lock on mine but its like Christmas morning when their is a lot of money in your accounts.

Its like a birthday present every day of the week to yourself. I guess that is why it is so addicting.

Maybe one day their will be be a self help group for recovering stat checkers like AA. Naaw its too much fun!

All joking aside I check mine 4 or 5 times a day at least.

For Clickbank alone, I check 5-10 times a day I think. Although I don't make many sales, I just can't help doing that. :p

Money stats: several times a day (paid traffic= necessity+ fascination)

General Site stats: pppfft.. whenever. Not very often really.

There's a lot of different opinions here and I think it depends where you are on the learning curve. If you're really new and it's a brand new project with traffic coming in I'd check a few times a day, I do, if it's a new PPC campaign I'll look at it (albeit briefly) every hour to see whats working and what isn't.

It all depends where you're at, virtually no traffic coming in? Don't check at all, don't waste your time doing that when you could be focusing on actually getting the traffic. If your paying for the traffic or organically getting a lot of it, keep a firm eye on it yourself or pay someone else to do it for you.

The only thing I check daily is email and orders. Stats, maybe once a month. I've found I actually make more money when I work.

I check my Traffic Stats 5+ times a day. As for my affiliate programs I usually only log in twice a day (morning and afternoon) unless I see an unusual increase in traffic then I may check it during the day another couple times.
Also If I am running PPC I like to monitor my traffic stats and sales several times a day as I don't like to throw away money at poor converting pages.

I personally check every day because I´m someone who likes to see results and change. When I see results I´m happy.

I sent out an email the other night so I've been F5ing clickbank all day lol.

But it's just a tab on my browser so it doesn't take up too much of my time. I also do the same with my google webmaster tools and wordpress stats plugin.

I think it's fun to check stats.
