You Can Share Download File Through Google Docs?! - I just learned it today

I was having some connection troubles earlier. I was trying to send a 7 MB file and I was having trouble uploading it.
I tried attaching the file through gmail but since it contains an exe file, it was rejected by gmail (for security reasons).
I then thought if it was possible to share it via Google docs..I heard that file sharing was one of the features of the recently dead Google Wave but I'm not sure if the same thing is available in Google Docs..So I tried.
I uploaded the zip file through Google Docs...and to my amazement it accepted the file! Woohoo!
Then all I did was to add in the email addy of the person I want to share the file with and I assume that he will receive notification..just like when sharing the usual Google Docs.
This is something that I just learned so I'm a bit happy. This means that the platform I use for online docs, I can now also use for file sharing!
What an ease..I don't have to go from one place to another.
