Anyone know what it would cost overseas to get a decent web designer / Wordpress person ? I'm guessing more than your average linkbuilder / VA ?

    Just want an idea or a range, guys. I know VA's go for US$250-300/month , just wondering what a going rate for webmaster / WP designer is.

      Most competent HTML/WP Designers go for $700-1000/mo. Any less and you are either getting a huge bargain, or will work with someone that will take days to complete a project that should take a couple hours.

        Really ? I thought in the phillipines that is a good salary for a doctor or engineer!

          I paid someone $100 to get 4 websites designed each week

          I tried another worker, paid $175 for the week, and got 10 websites completed.

          Don't care if that is doctor or engineers wages, it is still cheaper than almost anywhere else, including most freelance sites!

    I go to Odesk. I have a Graphic designer who communicates with my web designer. The graphic one is $8 per hour and the web designer is $5. I get a wordpress blog fully customized for under $200 easily.

    It all depends on the complexity of the website set up and whether extensive coding is required, but I'd definitely choose someone who is fairly fluent in English (try to do an interview over Skype if possible) - otherwise you could waste a lot of time trying to get your ideas across and communicating your exact intentions!
