Split Testing??? What do I use to do that?

INTERNET MARKETING

I want to start split testing my headlines and writing on my site so I could improve my IM skills, but I don't know where to start. I've heard the name "Google Optimiizer" bandied about here in relation split testing.

What do I use for split testing? Is Google Optimizer what people use?

Any suggestions?

Yes, you can use Google's web site optimizer. There are others, but G's is free.

The concept isn't difficult: create 2 web pages (page A and page B); change something on B; then run them simultaneously to see which performs better.

The instructions G provides are simple and easy to follow. And all you really do (aside from creating your pages) is place some code on the those pages. G does the rest.

Another Warrior; Kim Somebody (can't remember her name); recommends ABtests.com (ABtests.com - Share A/B Testing Results. Improve your conversion today.)

I'd check them out, too.. always good to have more than one source of information.

There's no shortage of options here:

Google Optimiser for web pages. You need to either sit through tutorials, or get an outsourcer to guide you through the set up for it.

"WP Split Test" is a premium WordPress plugin developed by Ryan Deiss which can help you with split testing in your blog. This will cost money but investing in your business always will.

Aweber can do ad tracking, or you can do form split tests.

If you've got a list bigger than 100 on Aweber, you can easily split test your subject lines by sending different emails to different segments of your list.

Yep, Google is good.

I also use my 1ShoppingCart to run split tests. It allows you to split the test three ways.

If you're not already using that, then Google every time.
