Using Autorespond.com?

I've learned to prefer the more personnel attention one gets at smaller companies rather than large ones, so when it comes to autoresponders I was happy to recently sign up with Autorespond.com by Ewen Chia. Strangely enough, as you'll see, I'd seen critical coments about AWeber and chose not to use them.

I could hardly believe my eyes at the beginning of this week when the url at the top of the page at Autorespond is now an AWeber one. I guess they've just bought the company.

Well, the upshot is that its 4 days later and I've just received my first hostile email from AWeber ... predictable I suppose, but 4 days must be some kind of record.

What is it with companies that have a hostile approach to clients? Are they renegade employees, or is it some kind of corporate madness that strikes when the company gets big enough?
Time to vote with my feet again.

Autorespond.com appears to be Ewen Chia's Private
    Label version of AWeber.

This means that Ewen Chia has paid AWeber some
money to be able to sell AWeber autoresponder
services under his own label and domain of
    Autorespond.com.

For the record, AWeber are an excellent provider of
    autoresponder services and they've got a 10-year
history of providing a reliable service with great
    deliverability and good customer support.

Sure, there may be some disgruntled customers
around - but they're the exception rather than the
    rule.

    Dedicated to your success,

    Shaun
