Organic search ranking transformation
By now, I expect that most of you are aware of the new Google Caffeine algorithm--running at about 50-60% of search capacity at this point. It has already put some IM mavens at a distinct disadvantage...
In line with the "Caffeine Concept", Google yesterday rolled out a "Realtime Search" tool--a standalone page that pulls user selected social media together for a tailored and dynamic experience. Here is the interface:

Part of this goes to the heart of the search engine domination that Google has and new challenges from Facebook and the Yahoo/Bing monstrosity that is being birthed. Combined with the Caffeine transformation--this is sure to hit a lot of static or autopilot sites that simply are not generating new content of "social value".
