Hello Warriors,

I have been a fan of the Warrior Forum for a few years now...
I was never a successful IM...and probably never will be (just being realistic).

And...I am confident enough to try and sell an Ebook w/videos (via Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.0).

I have never made released any Ebook before... and if this is successful... I might release it on Clickbank, too.

However, as of right now I just want to test the waters.

So, I bought a couple of WSO's on "How to Release my First WSO."

- I am a member of the WARROOM
- I do have this Ebook selling online else where...however, I don't send any traffic to this site because the page looks terrible.

I would like to use the WARRIOR FORUM as my launching ground for this WSO... however, it is not related to IM.

So ~ My question is:
1. Would I be able to use the Warrior Special Offer Forum as a place to sell my Ebook (My Ebook is about Teaching English Overseas).
2. If I listed it on the Warrior Special Offer Forum...how long would the listing stay "ONLINE." (And I don't mean on the first two pages... I mean... after a few weeks is the listing cancelled? Or is there some time limit to how long you can leave a WSO for sale for?

Thank You in Advance.

You are a True Warrior!

It stays online but scrolls off the first page pretty rapidly. It is not canceled.

That product would probably not be a good seller as a WSO. People buy software tools, make money online stuff, SEO stuff mainly

If you'll excuse the observation, testing a book about teaching English overseas on an audience of internet marketers seems a very strange plan indeed: we're not representative of your target market at all, surely?

The Warrior Forum is an Internet Marketing Forum, and the WSO is the marketplace for Make Money Online Products in some way, shape or form.

So do you really think people interested in Making Money Online will buy Teaching English Overseas?

I think you can do better than that.

Uh... I think that you guys have misunderstood me.

I want to use the WSO Special Offer Section to act as my SALES PAGE.
I will not be selling to the Warrior Forum...just using the WSO section because I am not pro enough to build my own landing page/webpage/etc.

So let me get this straight. You want to use a WSO as a sales page to sell a teaching English overseas ebook. So presumably you would send all your traffic to the wso. One word, why ? Yes I have seen your explanation but it still does not make any sense.

Its like setting up a shoe shop to sell cakes. There is no logic to it.

First our apologies if the advice we have offered has been substandard. However in our defense your question is, shall we say, "unique". I have to say that I've never heard of anyone contemplating a WSO as strictly a sales page for a non-IM product.

And with that I agree fully.

The WSO section (like the rest of the forum) uses BB Code, not HTML. You will be limited in what you can format and are restricted in the number of images you can use. And you'll have to host those images yourself anyway.

And your "sales page" on an IM forum will probably be a source of confusion to your target audience, who are likely not familiar with our little cult. Many will not be sure they are in the right place and will leave. Some will think that they have to join the forum to buy from you. As a first impression it isn't likely to be a good one.

There are so many ways to build a sales or squeeze page, you can spend 20 minutes on Google (you are, after all, the GoogleWarrior!) and download a dozen free templates. And then there is WordPress, which can be used to build a page or complete site faster than you could ever format the BB Code on the forum. Even without technical skills you could put together something a lot more professional looking than an advertisement on a forum that is unrelated to your industry.

And if you really are helpless with the coding or WordPress then you are in the right place - this forum has a collection of technical experts who would be very happy to set something up for you at a very reasonable price.

Hopefully some of this will make your criteria for "good advice".

        All the best

        Bill

      Why?

It makes no sense to post this type of material in the WSO section.

      You can:
      • Get a free theme for WordPress that looks amazing.
      • Have a Warrior design a sales page for you.
      • Purchase one from a WSO - there are almost always multiple site design WSOs running.
      • Post in the "Hire a Warrior" section to have one made - http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...jobs-here.html
      • Do a search for free landing page (check the terms carefully to be safe)

Why send your potential customers to a very IM-centric forum to buy? They'll just get confused as others have suggested.

You have lots of other inexpensive or free options, even if you don't have the ability to create your own page. Heck, you could even use a free blog I suppose like blogger (less professional looking IMHO).

If you don't know how to design a salespage - head over to somewhere like Weebly. They have off the shelf templates, easy to use website building interface and they allow commercial sites.

If you sold this product with Private Label Rights (PLR), including a sales letter, full website graphics and proof that there are a lot of people searching for this kind of information, then you stand a better chance of making money on the WSO forum with this offer.

Yes, I did. And I say you should make/order a decent salespage for your product and put it up for sale there - not here. It just doesn't make sense to use the WSO section for it.

If you don't know how to make a sales page post a thread somewhere here on the forum and I'm sure you can get one made quite cheaply.

Oh and one more thing: You can't do proper split-testing.

Unless you post 2 WSO's - now this is starting to get expensive!

But seriously Shaun brings up a valid point, and it also reminds me that you wouldn't be able to use Google Analytics or a similar service to track your hits and conversions.

And another thing - you said you may release this on ClickBank. I really doubt ClickBank will approve a WSO as a product sales page.

    @ GWarrior,
Why dont you post your page you have and let some warriors here make some very good suggestions on how to improve it.
This way,you will learn some very important skills by doing it yourself.

If its already paid for, theres no loss.
Or you could use any free templates.
You could use (usfreeads) and send people to just a download page i believe.
Set up a simple hub, lens,or wherever and give a few copies away for free.
See how many take you up on it.
Just look at a sales page and copy it.(the style)
    Title
    bullet points or benefits.
    Table of contents
    Something like this.
Then you can check your download files and see how many have downloaded it,and check your stats and see how many people checked out your page, and how many url clicks you had.
All this can be done for free.
You wont get crap as a wso and it costs 20 dollars to list.
It will only be on the first page for about 1 day, then it costs another 20 dollars to bump it up.

WSO is for Warrior special offers not to use for you sales page so don't go that route.

Download a free sales letter template:

      Free Sales Letter Template

Open it and edit it with this free editor:

      KompoZer - Easy web authoring

      Pay $7-10 for the domain.

Optional - pay $5/ per month for an e-junkie account to start:

E-junkie Shopping Cart for selling downloads & tangible goods

Don't worry about split testing and all that jazz for now. I know, I know sacrilege but it's more important to get your first product out there vs. getting every little thing perfect.

Your niche and e-book idea sounds good but make sure it has an audience that will buy your e-book first.

So get off the idea of using WSO for your sales page. The time you'll spend figuring out how to formatting your WSO thread will be better spent learning how to format the sales letter template above with Kompozer.

Give yourself a deadline to have it up and go to it and nip this crap in the bud:

I was never a successful IM...and probably never will be (just being realistic)

I'm curious as to why you posted in the first place?

Everyone who has responded has given the exact same opinion - using a WSO as a sales page is a very bad idea. And you have also been given advice (see Alan's excellent post) as to how to spend the same 20 dollars on a proper salespage.

As a fan of this forum you know that people here are trying to help you, yet after all the good advice you've been given you have decided to go with your original plan anyway.

So what was the point in asking?

    Alan,

Hats off to you my friend. Now that's solid advice. OP, do what Alan says. Now if you want to turn your business into a website package for sale, come back and do a WSO.

Bingo, what Alan said. He gave you some great advice. Your $20 and your time are much better spent setting up your own sales page on your own domain.

Plus, as Alan mentioned, a WSO is a "Warrior Special Offer." Merely using a WSO as a sales page means that your offer really isn't that special. That means your WSO could get deleted... then you've wasted your time and money.

Get your offer up on your own domain and then advertise it in your signature.

    Cheers,
    Becky

p.s. As mentioned above, WF members aren't your target audience. If you really want to sell something to Warriors, create a book/report on a hot niche topic and sell the resell rights or PLR to the content. Now that's something Warriors would be interested in.

    Yeah, what Alan said.

You're really not giving yourself the best possible chance if you try to use the WSO as a sales page.

..... unless you are just trying to make this statement a self fulfilling prophecy:

I was never a successful IM...and probably never will be (just being realistic).
