Hey guys, Is there any place where i can join lot of IMer's mailing lists? Actually, lot of marketers put out good stuff and really good info. I want to join lot of mailing lists and then slowly weed out crap mailing. I bet after 2,3 months i will have constant source of good info comign from various marketers. Any pointers? Thanks

I think - and this is just my opinion, ok? - that it's a risky thing to do. What I mean is, your time is so much better spent finding something that makes you money and then concentrating on doing it almost all the time. Nothing wrong with being on email lists - God knows I'm on a lot of them! Just be careful that you don't spend hours reading those emails at the expense of doing things that actually make you money. Find a balance. Again, just my opinion on your idea here.

Well, then you have my blessing. LOL

Seriously, though, we can't really post about it here because of the rule (good rule) about self-promotion. I would say maybe pick out some Warriors whose posts you really like and check out their sigs for squeeze page links. Or Google them. Or visit their profile page here and see what they have in there as far as contact info (website links).

This is not a comprehensive list, but I can tell you some people here who you absolutely want to learn from and be on their lists. I don't know for certain that all these people have lists, but I bet most do:

        Paul Myers
        John Taylor
        Steve Wagenheim
        Dennis Gaskill
        Andy Henry
        Dennis Becker
        Brad Grosse
        Rachel Rofe
        Jason Fladlien
        Jeremy Kelsall
        John McCabe
        Ken Strong
        Tony Shepherd
        Sylvia Rolfe
        Brian McLeod
        Eric Louviere
        Ron Douglas
        Mark Hess
        Tim Gorman
        Chris Sutton
        Kevin Riley

There are plenty more, but those folks are all top notch.

    Ankur,

Getting a ton of e-mail from different IMer's can be a huge waste of time, especially when a bunch of them are all promoting the same product launces. I usually check out Internet Marketing News Watch once a day or so and only read what really interests me.

Ankur, make sure you register for anybody's lists with a separate email but not with the main business email.

If you join about 20 people's lists, you'll be getting 20 emails a day that will contain either:

      *an affiliate offer
*sales pitch of their new products
*latest "techniques" on any marketing activities that you're doing
      *advice on your IM business

If you've time then you can check all their emails but chances are very high for you to get distracted from doing your work. They claim that you'll get tips and advices (some of them will be really helpful) but most of the time you'll end up getting emails with aff links splashed all over the messages.

I'm not saying that they're WRONG but it's just that you'll lose trusts on them when they started promoting aff offers almost everyday for different products or sometimes for the same products.

I had a funny exp with GURU EC in the past when I got an email that says "Product A is the best keyword tool ever". Then after two days I got another email that promotes a new keyword tool. So I was like asking myself, "Is he really trying to help me or is actually after my WALLET?" That was the day he lost my trust and though I'm still in his list, I'll just spy on what product he's promoting and how's he actually marketing it.

So make sure you only join a selected group of people instead of all the famous "IM GURUS".

      Best Wishes,

@Ankur -- If you're just interested in getting a solid base of internet marketing knowledge down... Here are the marketers I've learned a lot from. Most give you some really good content just for signing up.

Of course, you'll get plenty of product offers too.

        - Internet Marketing Blog- Entrepreneurs-Journey.com by Yaro Starak - Yaro Starak gives away a free Blog Profits Blueprint that's absolutely classic. If you're considering making money off a blog, this is definitely a worthwhile read.

        - online business, internet business, Internet Business Podcast, Resources and Community - Entertaining podcast. A lot of good marketing/mindset tips here.

        - Passive Income: The Smart Passive Income Blog - Put on by a guy named Pat Flynn. There's a ton of really good information about creating your own info product. This guy is on fire right now and his notoriety is growing fast.

        - JeffWalker.com ? creator of the Product Launch Formula® - He doesn't really put out much content unless he's doing a launch, but man, when he does it's great stuff. This guy is a legendary internet marketer that just about everyone in the IM space has heard of at this point. I recommend checking out some of his vids on youtube about product launches:
        - The Launch Coach - Tips on email list building, product launch, copywriting and more - I've been reading Dave Navaro for a few months now and love him. If you're into product launches, email list building, or making more money you should really check this guy out. This is another guy that's blowing up fast. You should put them in your rss reader rather then getting emails from them, they you can look at them at your own pace. Most aren't worth reading though to be honest, lots have mainly filler information about being social. The real money's in advertising and selling products.
