There are really so many ways to make money online... WF is a great resource on that really. So I suggest reading the threads and using the Search link.

Pick a method and learn it inside and out. There's no one process to make money online.

    Affiliate sales through web sites
    Sell orignal information products
    Rich content blog with advertising
    Autoblogging
    List marketing
    CPA

The mothods are endless. But if you keep jumping from one to the other, you'll never see success.

    Learn the basics first

    Build a site
    Get traffic

    Then specialize

    Find a profitable niche.

Register your own domain name for that niche.

Make sure that you try to capture each visitor's name and email. Let your autoresponder follow up with them and do this on a daily basis without stopping.

Use PPC advertising to bring in new visitors each day and do this everyday.

Then you will be able to watch those sales come in.

It is as simple as that yet so many people make it so complicated.

The best ways to make money online depends on your skills and knowledge. Affiliate marketing is only one way to make money online.

There's also: PPC, Adsense, Product Creation, Website Flipping, Domain Flipping, Offline Marketing .... and probably at least 100 more or so.

You need to choose one and get good at it. Learn everything you can about what you choose.

      This is your best answer...^^^^^^

OP I know you want to try and put it all in perspective. The best way depends on you. I know that is not what you want to here, but, if you ask 100 people what the best way you will get 100 different answers. My guess is you're asking because you're trying to generate some options because what you're currently doing isn't working for you. I will throw out JV's as the best way just to add more overload to your thoughts.

Well thats such a broad and biased question. So many people will give you their interpretation of what the best way is to make money online. It takes time and dedication with anything and it isnt easy. join an affiliate network and use the affiliate link they give you...
you need to make a website or blog and make people want to read it. Choose a niche and stick with it that isnt to broad. Then get targeted traffic to your site. Its very hard to answer your question in a WF post. read up on affiliate networks and affiliate marketing...read e-books and forums..and blogs..etc

What you need is a system and a process. Pick a system above then ask yourself what do you need to do make x amount per month. If you choose affiliate marketing for example the first thing you need is pick the product
do your kw research, put up your site with squeeze page dont send direct to the offer, drive traffic to that site. there are many traffic methos so pick a few like articles, video, social, and get good at them.

promote your site everyday once you have this down to a process for example your going to write 2 articles a day do a new video stick to your schedule.

Just ask yourself what you need to know to get started first thing is kw reasearch I will try to save you from buying a course use market samurai go through the videos on you tube.

Learn to set up an effective sqeeze page be sure to track your results decide on the methods you will use to drive traffic and learn everything.

Once you have this down be like McDonalds rinse and repeat.

Affiliate marketing can be profitable but it takes so many sales to make a decent income.
There is more money in taking your online marketing Internet skills to offline businesses.
Pays better and you are setting yourself up for a long term career, rather than chasing niche after niche looking for the next hot item.

This question is so broad that it's impossible to answer. If you've been 8 months doing IM, you should know by now that there's no direct answer to your question.

If I were you (still seeing no success after 8 months), I would go and do freelance and quickly learn the tricks and secrets of the success. Become a virtual assistant for someone successful at a lower rate. Let them teach you their business and how they do it and from there you can learn very fast.

You would really need to open your mind to learning from your bosses and thus learning as much as you can.

Then the next thing is replicating their strategies.

Try to master a form of traffic before you make a lot of money online.

I 1000% agree. Freelancing is totally the way to go if you want to learn. "Learning" has a funny way of ending up taking all your time. True learning comes from doing something then figuring out what works. 8 months of setting up an affiliate site means that you're either not focusing, haven't gotten keyword research down, or somehow are missing the pieces. 8 months is a long time and I know people can get stuff set up quickly if they're really working it and focusing on the most important stuff.

However...I think for most people, freelancing is the way to go. It's easy, you get money right now, and you learn how to get better at the stuff you're working on with other people.

      Plain and simple.

      Cheers,

      Brad

  • Lots of people make alot of money from affiliate marketing but with any IM method, it does take time if you are looking to build a solid business.

There is no over night cash making system that I am aware of and anyone who says that there is is saying so in order to get you to buy their product.

Maybe Affiliate marketing isn't for you, but there are other ways to build a business online.

Hopefully the following pointers will help you:-
    • Unclutter your head and your desk top. If you have loads of stuff lying around and you keep flitting from one to another you'll just end up giving up.
    • So keep the stuff that appeals to you and get rid of the rest, or if you can't bring yourself to do that, keep it all in a separate folder out of sight.
    • Unsubscribe from most of your email lists and just keep the ones who you feel have or will genuinely help you. So much time is wasted going through endless emails and it just muddles your brain.
    • Choose a way of IM that suits you. If you don't like writing copy for example then Article marketing isn't for you but other things might suit you better.
    • Stick to one method of IM and learn to be good at that first before your divert to anything else.
    • And MOST IMPORTANTLY especially if you've been struggling so far, find a reputable mentor (even if it cost you a few dollars a month) and let them show you how it's done. Often they will have a forum where like minded people can compare notes, problems and help each other out. Knowing that others are struggling & eventually succeeding will keep you focused
    .

Why don't you post up a thread here asking members to recommend you a mentor. I'm sure there are lots of people who would help.

Hope this has been of some help.

    Good Luck

The best way is to take things one step at a time...

If you're going to set up an affiliate blog, just set up the blog.
Don't even worry about installing any plug-ins or spending time
    inserting affiliate links everywhere...

Just set up the site and have analytics installed.

Now go through a few niche markets and do this for each of them.
Build blog content and see which blogs start to get traffic...

Once you have traffic then you can worry about making sales.

Take things one step at a time, if you don't have a traffic source,
don't worry about trying to sell products, get traffic first.

If you're front end product isn't selling, don't worry about making
a back end product, get the front end product to sell first...

A lot of people waste a lot of time setting everything up, just take
things one step at a time, start off by just getting traffic to a
web page, leave everything else out until you're getting traffic.

Nice quote Sean ! I must say when I read this post I can relate to it...

For a startup internet marketer it is always better to stick with CPC offers and then grow yourself and move on to CPA and affiliate offers as they require more technical knowhow, the first phase of learning curve is something time consuming

The best way is via a sound, constructive, practice oriented education.

Participate on the multiple threads here at the forum that discuss affiliate marketing, participate in the JV threads and the WSO threads, learn from others who have been successful (posting a question here like you have is an excellent place to start, but don't stop there, look further into the forum) with affiliate marketing.

Everything takes time, learn smart and think smarter

    Cheers,
    Ange

Like everyone said here, probably the best way to make money is either:

    - making a lot of review sites and rank them with building links.
    - writing many articles and submit them to EZA with your signature pointing to your site

I know there are many things you need to know to do this properly but these are the easiest among many other methods from my experience.

    Hope that helps.

Well, I guess I left out the most important thing about making money online that is...

    - building your own list.

Do you see all those Clickbank sales and income proof everyone shows? Most of them are real and they all make that kind of income from their list. So if possible, do everything to get more subscribers in your list and send them good and useful info that's worthwhile. Then you can promote affiliate products from time to time.
