Do I Need To Change Permalink In Blogger?

Hey, I know its wise to change the permalink in wordpress to make yyour subpages more readable to the search engines. Im doing an experiment with the free version of blogger and notice that when I create a new post that it gives the page my post is on a url like this:

http://myblog.blogspot.com/2008/06/h...atch-fish.html

So im wondering if my trying to rank for the term "how to catch fish" in the search engines if that /2008/06 part messes my chances up. If so does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

I always use...

/%category%/%postname/

I do this for 2 reasons.

I think it looks more professional.
It doesn't let the surfer pre-judge the page by seeing the date in the permalink.

I suspect changing it will not impact SEO by much...if any.

ok sorry but where exactly do I do this in blogger? Sorry I dont see where to change the permalinks in blogger.

  Oopsies....I saw the "change the permalink in wordpress" part of your post and thought you were referring to wordpress. Blogger doesn't support this feature.
