How to launch a non-affiliate website?
I am working on a new project. It's a website where the users generate the content (like forums, social bookmarking sites,...). I do not sell a product, I offer a free service.
What is the best way to launch a website like this to generate a good amount of traffic from day one.
I haven't been able to find a course on launching a website. There are enough programs that teach you how to launch a product. I haven't looked at them but I guess it is a different approach.
Some of the things I plan to do:
- submit press releases
- send an email to 150 bloggers in my niche
- write articles
and ofcourse all the other things related to internet marketing: SEO, backlinks, social media, bookmarking, ppc,...
Are there any other things I can do to really get the word out. Any good sites, suggestions, programs,... ?
