So I read a blog post by one of the fellow warriors and it inspired me to do a little challenge. I am going to try and make a million dollars in the next 30 days online. I have a clear plan and I know exactly what I am going to do. Its just a little challenge that I wanted to put out there for myself for the month of September. I am going to set up a little blog to post my results on. So what are you goals for this month? Share them and lets encourage and push each other to reach our goals. |

There is a saying about aiming for the stars and reaching the tree tops rather than aiming for the tree tops... or is it don't count your chickens before they cross the road... Or a bird in the hand is worth a penny earned.... what ever it is Why not aim high who am I to say you cannot do it, go for it . |

Wow that is an awesome goal and you have really inspired me by posting it. I have actually been guilty of setting my goals too high in the past and I have been scaling down my goals lately. The interesting thing is, when I'm working on MASSIVE goals like the one you have set here, I usually achieve 10x more than I would have even if I fall well short of the goal. Where can we read about your progress? |

Wow $1,000,000 is very optamistic my goal this month is $10,000 revenue with about 60% profit, so $6,000 take home profit. The last 2 months I have been doing about half these numbers on average so taking home $3000-3500 so ramping things up and gonna put a bit more work in this month |

| Seriously, if you are an attorney, you're sitting on a lot of potential here. IM'ers don't typically look for good legal advice - they come here, post their legal questions and everyone responds "ask your attorney". I am not suggesting you do it free, but by helping, you can probably gain some clients pretty rapidly. One area I know people fall down in is having a terms of service for their web site/privacy policy, etc. Other areas could include affiliate agreements for example. Gary |

I don't know what your plan is but I am pretty sure it's not going to work as good as you think it would. And hey I don't know your IM History but unless you are planning on doing a HUGE product launch with guys like Mike Filsaime, Ewen Chia etc. promoting with you, you aren't going to reach it. Sorry to pop the bubble but that is the truth and you better accept it. EDIT: Unless you are planning on a million Zimbabwe dollars That's not hard at all

My goal is to turn over $1,000,000 Revenue this financial year. In the 11-12 financial year, I want to do $1M profit. I think these goals are highly achievable. 30 days is a tough ask though! Better get on your bike |

If you put out a product that will sell for $197 and you have thousands of loyal affiliates, then you reach that goal. If you don't have thousands of affiliates and hundreds of thousands of people on your list, how are you going to get to your goal? I hope that this is not WISHFUL thinking where you wish you can get there but don't have a powerhouse of affiliates and hundreds of thousands of email subscribers. If you do get there, good for you. I know a guy who made $1.479 million in thirty six hours and his name is Ewen Chia. Let's us know if you make it. Tal |

What kind of benefit do you all hope to give the OP by saying that he can accomplish this? Look....we aren't in the business of dreaming smashing, but there is also something to be said about the wise and prudent IM'er who devotes themselves to establishing realistic, measurable, and obtainable goals. I agree with with Mohammad on this one. Yes, we don't know your finances, connections, and resources, however an 'assumption' I am making is that you are 15 and PROBABLY don't have them. This doesn't mean that a 15 year old can't be successful, but, if you are coming into this goal with little, don't expect the $1,000,000 to be earned in 30 days. MAYBE if you can borrow $100-200,000 from you parents, then you can do it...but, this is going to be impossible to do without a few other variables being known. |

If you read many billionaires biographies, one of their main reasons for success they claim was because they set big (sometimes unrealistic) goals. Many never achieved their big goals, but that is missing the point. I love the quote: "If you reach for the stars, and you fall a bit short - you've still achieved a great deal" I aim to make a million dollars every year, the truth is I make 6 figures each year. Given the fact I'm achieving a fraction of my goal each year, I need to seriously think about setting higher goals - perhaps $10 million for 2011. Obviously, JUST a big goal on its own isn't enough - you have to take action, do things intelligently and apply solid strategies to be successful, but big goals are definitely an important foundation to start from. |

Of course it is achievable, many companies do that on a regular basis. But if you are going to be selling the $2.50 articles or $7 ebook listed in your signature, you have your work cut out for you. | |

I'm sorry to disagree with those who don't agree but it is possible IF you know what you're doing... but behind that 1 mil in 30 days should be extensive knowledge and experience... if you know how to drive traffic and convert... you just need to know how to talk to the right people to get you that traffic... |

That's impossible for a newbie, but that doesn't mean you should not set your goal that high. I firmly believe in shooting for the stars, so maybe you will at least make a few thousand, which would be AWESOME for a newbie!!!

At least a handful of people in the thread seem to get it. Motivation is an important factor. You can have a realistic goal or you can have an exceptional goal. The realistic goal may be more obtainable, but the exceptional goal is more motivational. For a newbie, maybe $100 in 30 days is a realistic goal. Maybe even $1,000. But, how motivational is that? They have to put in work and effort into achieving that goal, but who wants to push themselves for a hundred bucks? In some states, you might be better off picking up cans and bottles alongside the road and turning them in for the 10¢ deposit. The thing is that that $1,000 (or $100) is a concept, not reality. You cannot touch it or feel it and, at the end of 30 days, you may not even have it. So, between the choice of working hard for that conceptual amount or sitting back watching TV, the television is the path of least resistance. Its payoff is immediate. Instant gratification. On the other hand, $1,000,000 is something to shoot for. It can help overcome resistance to putting in some hard work. Someone might not push themselves too hard for a hundred bucks, but $1,000,000 is a different story. Can they miss their favorite TV programs for a month in order to shoot for a million? Probably. A large goal helps overcome the resistance barrier. Now, let's say you shoot for a million bucks but, at the end of the month, you only managed to earn $1,000. Well, you may not have met your goal, but that $1,000 is no longer conceptual, it's real. It's tangible. You can pay off a bill. You can fix your car. You can buy a new TV. And, that provides the motivation for the next month. |

My first post here. I think 1m in a year is possible, I make 6 figures right now. However to get to my current income i have invested tens of thousands of dollars, you won't just make a million by working 24 hours a day.

Is it possible to make a $1 million in 30 days? Totally.... A lot of big CB launches do that no problem - however they spend months and months before hand getting everything in place. Is it possible to do it without any sort of set up, assets, etc? Most likely not. Sorry to break it to you. But keep shooting for the stars....its good to dthat. |
