URL Cloaking and Tracking Advice Needed

Fellow Warriors, I am in need of advice as to which software is the most widely used for URL cloaking and tracking. I want to be able to track multiple advertising campaigns, as well as cloak the URL for security purposes. I would prefer a standalone piece of software as opposed to a service. I would also prefer to install the software on my sites. I have looked at Adtrackz Gold and several others, but, since I am not an expert, I thought I would pose the question to the more skilled and successful Warriors. Any assistance would be most welcome. Thanks in advance.

This might be a little off topic, but I have heard in multiple places that it's actually not necessary to cloak your links because the general public does not realize that it's an affiliate link. This is at least what I believe.

I looked into viralurl.com-it wasn't for me, but they were responsive to my questions and easy to communicate with....

Hi Paul, I use Johnathan Ledgers link cloaker and it may have all the features you need. http://offto.net/9whzob/

All your links may look something like that. I use it and each cloaked link has it's own tracking feature so you can track clicks on the URL. Not sure how to handle split testing but I am sure there is a way. And, it's free!

Well.....shameless plug, you *might* want to check out my WSO.
I am working on tracking features right now and integrating all kinds of code into the sites (like aweber forms) , but bare in mind this is still "in testing".
I do however help my customers setting up their sites, test their tracking.

The difference to other cloaker methods would be that with ASQ you get real sites (Adwords!!) - however if you already have blogs and your own sites set up you can very well use a "simpler" solution which only tracks and cloaks your URLs.

GeorgR - I was intrigued by your "get 13 million backlinks" thing in the sig file. Clicked on it. Neat stuff, but I did a yahoo site explorer search on the domain you have that offer posted on ... only a small handful of backlinks. So what's the deal? You didn't use your own tools?

Just curious ... not intended as a flame in any way.

chris, i have about 100 sites. This one is a "generic" site, i never did any promotion for this one.
