Is It True That Ezine Articles Wont Accept Articles About PLR?

I'm pretty sure this is accurate but just wanted to check. Ezine articles wont accept articles that are about PLR is that right?

Do you know if you can link to a PLR site if the article is not actually mentioning PLR?

Do all article directories have this rule or is it just Ezines?

Reason I'm asking is that I have a PLR article site and am wondering what is the best way to promote it if I can't do article marketing for it. Or perhaps I can but just not to Ezine articles???

Any advice on this one?

I have been saying this for many months... Ezine is not the end all in article marketing! Go to buzzle or ArticleBase---- They are better anyway! Now backlink your site with some anchor text keywords that you have a chance to rank for and then you should get a little traffic...

Study where the traffic is coming from and keep it flowing and backlink that method... You will build the site over time, not over night!!!!

There are many alternatives to ezine articles such as article base, buzzle, article alley etc. Exploring these is a good idea aswell as submitting to ezine articles.

Articles Base I do use for other niches, I just wasn't sure if other directories took this same view on articles that mention PLR as Ezine do. I guess if I submit some articles I'll soon find out

You can't even mention the letters PLR in an EZA article.

Even if you write an article saying that PLR is the most disgusting thing on
the planet, they won't publish it. It can be the most anti PLR article in
      existence and it doesn't matter.

      Talk about being totally anal.

Yeah that's what I thought with Ezine, I remember reading somewhere once before that they didn't allow PLR. Stupid really considering some of the crap they allow!

So true! I tried a few times only get them rejected and all I was doing was warning folks NOT to use PLR articles with EzineArticles because you will get banned. I got banned many moons ago so was trying to help people avoid such a hassle...

        Cheers,

        Steven,

The problem is that the editor's have guides they work from, to help them make those determinations about articles and article content...

But the editors are only paid staff... They are paid to process articles, but they have determined that common sense is not required in the process of approving articles...

Anal is one way of looking at it, but more so, I think if editors have to use analytical thinking in the process, then that is just too much work...

You cannot say PLR, and you cannot say Article Spinner... Even if you are trashing both...

And in my case, I cannot use euphemisms in my speak and make a play on words to get the readers attention... I wrote an article called, "The Six Degrees of Internet Marketing", which was taking the concept of the "Six Degrees Of Separation" and applying it to Internet Marketing... EZA Editors rejected the article because I did not have a numbered list of 1-6 in the article... LOL

Yeah, I've had stupid rejections like that too where I just want to pull my
hair out of my head...right after I shake some sense into their dense skulls.

My gut tells me they get paid $2 per hour to do this job.

I think not, actually, Sheryl: it's about what editorial guidelines policies were in force at the time that those articles were submitted. To be fair to them, they do actually explain that pretty openly on their blog. And maybe it's not so unreasonable that they have the policy of not discussing authors' work with other authors? I think I'd want to stick to that one if I ran the place, anyway - wouldn't you?

Yes, you can do that and they'll publish it with no problem at all: it's just stuff like PLR and spinning they're not so keen on.

It's a shame really that this seems to be quite normal with a lot of Internet Sites, even Google and Paypal act the same way when they close people's accounts and don't really look at the reasonings or common sense behind what might have actually happened. It's just much easier to click on the 'denied' button than to actually have to think about something.

That's really interesting, I just did a search for PLR on Ezines and quite a few come up and the dates are varied over the last few years. So I might write one, submit it and if they reject it then I might have to dispute their decision and query why there are so many on there if it's not allowed.

I wonder if it is in their TOS anywhere about PLR, I might see if I can see anything.

This is in their editorial guidelines

MUST NOT contain information that promotes: Term papers or essays for sale to college students, PLR (Private Label Rights) articles as a good thing (it's not), the promotion of email Safe-Lists as a good thing (it's not) or bulk email spamming as a good thing (it's not), advocacy for paid auto-surf programs as a good thing (it's not), advocacy of click fraud or clicking on Adsense ads as a good thing (it's not), advocacy of creating MFA's (Made For Adsense) sites as a good strategy (it's not), or advocacy of Adsense Arbitrage (this policy is created to protect our advertisers interests).

So I guess they don't allow it, but as there are quite a few on their approved I would agree with Tina, maybe it depends on the editor that reviews the article on any particular day.

Just an update - I submitted an article and it got rejected. So I contacted them and gave them the link to the search for PLR on their website and the 2000 + results. This was their response:

    Thank you for your email.

We do not discuss other authors articles. I suggest editing your
articles to remove any mention of PLR articles.

So I guess it's alright for some but not for others - must depend on the editor you get!

I don't think it is a matter of what policies were in place when the articles were submitted. If you search PLR you will find over 2000 articles and submission dates range from many years ago right up to a month ago so unless they change their policies every week or so I don't think that's the reason.

No - indeed. Thank you: you're right. Sorry!

Wow, they really are inconsistent, then, aren't they? (And that doesn't match up with the explanation on their blog at all).

Yes they are a bit inconsistent. If the articles they have were submitted a couple of years ago and they had since changed their policy then I could understand that. But the reason I thought I'd try and submit one was because there were articles are recent as July that had been approved. So the only thing I can think is that it depends on the editor you get at the time.
