Google Adwords Keyword Tool

Hi guys,

was using google keyword tool today and found it had some weird results different to that of 2 days ago. Happened on both my computers. For example a keyword i was looking at which had a global search of say 200000 now only has 90000. Does anyone know what might be wrong?

The months of these results are different. Its September now and current results are for August and two days a go you have seen July results.

A lot of the results on the Keyword Tool are BS today, the search numbers for the kind of keywords I've been looking at don't suddenly drop by 80-90% during any months - yet this is what it is showing.

Market Samurai is still producing accurate results though for the keywords I've checked out.

What it shows is you have to be careful with these tools, and get your data from a number of sources to get an accurate overall picture.

        Agreed.

Google is sending red herrings to you because they never want you to know how to game their system.

Never depend on Google for the whole truth, you will only be disappointed (and broke).

The only sure fire way of getting information form Google, that I have found to be reliable, is autoblogging and watching the stats for the most popular (read most traffic from Google) post titles, then adding relevant content to that site and testing for most profitable monetization.
