Click bank type Vendors / Affiliates & PPC

With many changes happening in many areas of marketing, one big change is the strengthening of advertising policies by all SEM providers.

These changes can and now do spill over into many known conventional ways for both vendors and affiliates of click bank type products.

Many vendors offer a SEM section in their affiliate section with suggested ads, and many affiliates promote these products using the varied SEM options available.

Regardless of which SEM provider you can expect all of them to clamp down and become more and more stricter.

These changes as have been seen so far would on the surface seem restricted to topics such as the love doctor, the snake oil salesman, the miracle cure and make bazillions of dollars on line.

And yes these topics will more than likely run a high risk of any affiliate being banned from the SEM provider as has been seen now over many months.

How ever what is not commonly known is the normal products and or services such as how to make a cake or any other seemingly sure fire product can and will see your account being banned as well.

It is not for me to run around yelling the sky is falling as it is not, nor do i see a problem between vendors and affiliates as most work well together, but when there is third party involved / the SEM provider the game play changes.

For those reasons as an affiliate you will need to add a check list to any product and or service you choose to promote using any SEM service and ensure regardless of topic that it meets all of the guidelines of the SEM, then secondly you will need a real understanding that even something as simple as a vendor say split testing a landing page can lead to your account being suspended for life and yes we are talking even on topics like how to make a cake as an example, and yes it can and will happen

So you will need to trust the vendor and be comfortable that they are not making changes to a product / land page / even if it is just a few words as that small change may be the tipping point.

The vendors who may have just slapped up in the past some 2 minute list of keys and some 2 minute ads really now should look at ensuring if they give that creative option to an affiliate that indeed it does stand up and be passed by the SEM options available and more so possibly advise affiliates of any pending changes before made to ensure they have a chance to make a decision to pause or cancel that campaign before it is made active.

A whole new game or way of doing things, ? well each to their own and i make no claims of what people should or should not do.

from a personal angle I would now not even run a how to feed my dog guide on any SEM provider unless i was starting to see these guarantees from a vendor.

And yes they can choose , but for now it would be far safer just to now promote your own product or a relied vendor account where you were given full and guaranteed outcome over what you are promoting and as such not risking your account being suspended.

thats my prediction of where the smart vendors promoting SEM will move and where the smart SEM operators will move, any other direction is open to many potential problems and not worth the risk from the affiliate side to work with using SEM.

(make a cake used as an example only and no inference to any related or cake guide intended)

Tin hat on.
