Focus - But Move On, Too!

I was looking at my e-junkie stats for the past month, and noticed that I made about 3 sales per day. When I look back maybe 9 months ago, it was more like 1 sale per day. What changed? I have more products on the market.

And that led me to this thought...

You always need to focus on whatever you're working on. See it through to completion. But don't linger. If you dwell too long (checking stats, biting fingernails, etc.), you run the risk of having too many eggs in one basket.

We all talk here on the forum about sticking with one thing and seeing it through. I'm one of those who really pushes that concept, because I see so many newbies fail simply because they stop short of completing a project. They move on or give up before closing that circle. So I do believe wholeheartedly in staying focused until you finish!

But... don't stop with one! Think of each new venture (new product, new service, etc.) as another income stream. Not only will that increase your bottom line, it will also spread your eggs around to more baskets.

Will you have flops? Count on it! But you'll also get better at figuring out which areas are the most productive for you and your skill set.

All I'm really saying here is to, yes, follow that sound advice to stay focused and see projects all the way through to completion. But then don't rest on your laurels. In my opinion, moving on to the next thing is what separates a lot of the really successful among us from the "doing ok" crowd.
