Hi.

Is there any tools that checks an article on Notepad or Word documents to websites on the Net for plagiarism?

Thanks.

Jim.

If you write original content you wouldn't need something like that. As far as I know there isn't any tool like that. Just make sure your content is original.

      Scrofford -

Just because the guy is a writer doesn't mean he's talking about his own work, you know. I'm a writer but I still check for plagiarism with my writing team and when I outsource.

You would have to cut/paste the article into the checker but there are a number of plagiarism checkers. Two decent ones are Copyscape and Plagium. Just keep in mind that neither is infallible. I've had both tell me that articles are completely unique and then I've uncovered a duplicate when putting in just a paragraph or a couple sentences.

The most accurate way I've found so far is just to Google phrases or sentences in quotes. I choose 3 different sections to pull from and then Google.

Using the upgraded copyscape you can do that. It's very handy to use and cheap, too.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.
