Online Banner Exchanges - worth it?

We recently launched our new Price Comparison site, http://www.seewhosells.com , out of Beta, and I'm currently looking for methods of driving traffic online. I'm in the process of doing all the standard SEO methods, however that obviously takes time and in terms of code and programming the site has been optimized from the ground up with SEO in mind.

I know obviously it depends on the quality/relevance of the site you exchange banners with, but has anyone had much success actually driving some traffic to your site, or at least creating and spreading brand awareness, through the exchange of banners?

We've had some professionally designed banners done up by our in-house graphic designers, and would ideally be looking at getting only banners that fit in with the "minimalist/white" theme our site is based around.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated from people with experience, cheers

Banner exchanges won't get you all that much traffic, a little. It seems to me that this would work well using cpv (or ppv) pop up with bids on Amazon, Shopping.com, or Ebay url traffic. "Wait! Want the Best Price Possible? Go Here first and check out the best deals you can possible find"
