If you don't want me to unsubscribe from your list then...

Don't

1. Put Notification of Payment Received in the subject line.

2. Don't put anything in the subject that is designed to trick me into opening it by pretending to be something that it is not.

Any one of the above will trigger an instant unsubscribe by me.

If you want me to click through anything in your message then you need to tell me what it is I will find when I do so. I have no time to mess about with guessing games.

Sorry for the rant but I am getting very annoyed by these emails and I will no longer tolerate them.

I know what you mean, but tbh I quite enjoy how creative some people are in an attempt to get you to open the email.

That's not a rant. That's speaking truth to.... well, to idiots.

    I'll add one more:

    3. Don't pretend you "messed up" in your first email and didn't include the link (or got it wrong).

I don't mind when mailers do that legitimately, but some of these jokers do it with nearly EVERY SINGLE EMAIL they send out. That's when you know it's a trick to get more people to see and open their emails because they hit your inbox twice in the same day. And if they really are messing up that often, would you really want to buy anything from someone so inept at such a simple thing? I mean, seriously! Such a lame tactic.

Yes yes yes, I forgot about that one. Don't they know that I know that they loaded the "I screwed up" messages into their autoresponder before they even launched the campaign.

Personaly I check my emails and the links in them BEFORE I send them out. I know mistakes can still happen but don't push it.

Yes I do believe that there has been. People obviously haven't got the message yet so I felt driven (by rage) to say it again.

People have gotten the message, they just don't get the message. It's one of those "follow the leader blindly" things. A hungry marketer sees another marketer pursuing this (essentially self-defeating) marketing tactic and says, "Wow. What a great way to get people to open my emails).

It doesn't work, at least not on me, but it will probably continue on. Such is the nature of the beast.

LOL! Throw a dart at any thread on WF and I'll give you 10-to-1 odds that there will be at least 2 other threads within the last few weeks on the very same topic. Welcome to life at WF. Enjoy your stay. Try the veal.

You will never be able to unsubscribe from their list and here's why. They will just add your email to another campaign which is set up through their autoresponder.

    Basically, you're screwed.
