Articlebot - Anyone know how to strip out all non-working directories in one swoop?

For all you ArticleBot users out there...

I just picked this up yesterday and started messing around with it. Even though I got it at 50% off, I'm fairly disappointed in how many sites either:

1) Do not work or no longer exist
2) Have not had articles approved anywhere from 9 months to over 2 years

I've spent more time going through each site individually and deleting more than I've signed up for (even after upgrading to the highest version). So far, deleted over 110 sites and only successfully signed up with 15. In other words, I'm spinning my wheels here.

Here's my main question: After spending the last hour an a half going through this all, I wanted to know if anyone possibly had a CSV file of all of the GOOD WORKING sites that I could import in? If any of you have something like that, I would be greatful! Just don't want to sit here for a few hours to sign up with 70 sites, because that's what it's looking like at this rate.

I don't know of anything that will help, but I can tell you not to waste your time!

I did a few months back as a test. Spent hours trying to weed out the garbage and even then it was a complete waste of time.

Even the directories that appear to be updating regularly are so far behind on reviewing submissions, my articles still haven't been reviewed months later. (at least I'm assuming that's the issue)

I think there were maybe 2 or 3 of the 50 or sites I finally tried that actually reviewed my articles. I just took note of them and now manually submit to them.

I spent about six hours manually signing up to all the "article friendly" database sites. Then I deleted all the ones that didn't work. Leaving me with about 150. I submit to those in under a minute. I'm def seeing benefits and love this bot. You have to tweak it at the beginning but only once. Then it's all auto.

Well having done the same thing and tediously gone through several times and checking for sites that are still live I'm down to 75 from the orginal 400 and I reckon only half of these ever approve articles.

Also if you want google to actually index some of the smaller directories you will have to goto the site, find your article and ping or RSS it.

A potentially good piece of software that really is junk in its current form. No wonder they don't offer a money guarantee - even given its small price you are far better just submitting to the top 10-20 directories by hand, bearing in mind that you will have to do half the work manually to get anything from articlebot.

I also went through all the sites manually before I tried to join them. I have about 150 sites. Out of those, I have maybe 15 that approved my article either right away or within a week. Maybe another 10 that show the article has been submitted. I figure the rest are a hit and miss as to whether they get submitted or not.

I had gotten frustrated with ArticleBot and let it sit on the shelf and started shelling out $40/month for another submitter. After a year, I realized that the new submitter wasn't getting me any better results.

I'm back to ArticleBot. For the cost, if I can get 15 to 25 links, I'm happy. During the weeding out process, I found about 12 high ranking sites that I will submit to manually to make sure my articles get submitted.

A couple sites are charging and I paid for them: $.50 an article for 24 hour approval; $2/month; and $10 one-off. All of these are PR4+ directories.

I'll clean this list and post if anyone is interested.
