Found Keyword And Low Competition

I was doing some keyword research this morning on a niche and I found a keyword with the following numbers.
The Keyword has 6800 searches a day
There is less then 18,000 competition

I found the exact .org domain available. I went ahead and purchased the domain. Any thoughts or ideals. I will say this keyword is around the dating niche.

    Thoughts:

    1. Great work on the research.

    2. The volume of competition is low but be careful the strength of the competition isn't too high. If the 10 sites on page 1 are too well old, well optimized, or with too many links, it still might be a battle.

    3. Is it a keyword indicating at least the possibility of a buying intention? A bunch of traffic that won't convert into sales is still worth nothing.

    Not saying either of these will be the case for you necessarily... just something to check and think about for others reading.

    I think this keyword with this number of competitor is really good. You get more than 200,000 visitors per month and if you can be an affiliate for keywords relating to this word, you will earn a good money.
