Newbies - Lots of similar course but you're not taking action?

So how many courses have you come across with similar tips and strategies but you're still not working at it?

Right now I have on my computer 7-8 courses that have a similar outline and I know for a fact that if work was put into this, this WILL make me money (Which I am).

So why are you not taking action or sticking at it long enough.

The first $1 is the hardest even if it takes 2 months to make. What you're building is the foundation, call it experience if you want...After that first $1 your aims and goals will shoot through the roof.

So if your in the situation where you think this is going nowhere, now is the time to keep going on cause you really do need to experience that first measly $ for everything to change.

I remember when I first got started, I worked 2 months and nothing came of it and was feeling abit tired after this. I had #1 ranking but no sales. I had 186 clicks and not even 1 sale but behold, a few days later I managed
an affiliate sale of $7.....Boy did I jump and punch the air. From that day on I was thinking like an entrepreneur...

Good luck and if you want any advice post a question.

Best regards
Michael

    Exactly.

My first site had a product for sale that was dropped shipped. I got 1 sale over the first two months for like $20, enough to pay my hosting for 2 months.

But then I kept at it and Got like 2 sales over 2 months. Then got like 1 sale a week, then a few a week, then one a day, eventually over about 6 months, I was able to quit my job and live off the income I generated.

You may have heard this before...

It's like a rocket ship. You will expend about 90% of your efforts just getting going and getting off the ground. Then once you get going you can shift gears, use less effort until eventually you are moving and not having to expend much effort at all.

It takes action, persistence, a belief before - that you will get exactly what you want and you'll get what you think about.

You are very right. The first money for me was the hardest. The analogy I use is a mountain climber - you are at the base of the climb to the top. Your goal is to make it at the top. How do you get to the top? Well first you need to get off the base and make your first sale.

It is not easy, it will take a lot of work. But once you earn that first dollar, it becomes much easier because you have a plan that works - you just need to scale it up.

I tried a method, I failed, I tweaked, I failed, I made another tweak, I failed, i made another tweak, I failed, I kept doing this till I ran out of tweaks and then decided to change methods.

Eventually I stumbled upon Site Flipping and this worked for me instantly. And now, it is my full time income

My first sale was for $47 and came about two weeks after my site was up which was about 6 months ago. I have made 56 sales since then. Just need to start working on getting more traffic now.

Michael, Cool point. It is the self-doubt that this is possible that prevents further actions.

When I first started I was watching these course and thinking wow.. I dont have that skill and that skill. I kept make excuses for myself so that I can continue to the next course. I think the big thing is to suspense disbelief and say "I can do it"

high_plains_drifter - First think about what you want to promote. Then get a course focus just on that and follow it step by step. For example if you want to make money as an amazon affiliate, run out and pick up Info Product Killer and follow it. If you want to sell info products from sites like clickbank, get commission blueprint, affiliate code, or a course design to make money with info products.

Don't make the mistake I made starting out, by getting so many courses and doing so many methods. Focus is the key to internet marketing.. Once you are a key player in one market , then you can start focusing on a new one. The second will be much easier to do because you will have a lot more knowledge and self-confidence. GL

  • @dannyadams - thanks mate will have a look at that

@seoweb2000 - yes this is exactly what im planning to do, which is why i am going to be a bit picky about what i choose. Im just going to pick one WSO and follow it through completely and work on it for the next 4-6 months, once i get started im going to make a thread so i can post my weekly progress.

I really dont know what i want to get into, i would like to build a successful adsense niche blog.

I have one blog already and its making me £5 per day, i quite like the fact i can just post some content, get traffic and revenue.

The amazon seems like a cool idea, i was thinking of buying on of those sites from the websites for sale area.

    YEAP, action's the word.
ideas and dreams without "action" remains as ideas and dreams

i started buying domains since i was 18, and i just turned 23.
i have slightly over a hundred domains.
renewing's a bitch and i kept telling myself to put my dreams to reality.
never did it, never made it.
instead, i work my ass off just to renew these domains year after year.

    i'm taking micro step.
now i've got wp set up for half of the domains but i haven't had content for them yet.
the one site which i put content to, it's appearing on page 1 of google and no. 1 result for yahoo, a key word with 201,000 global montly searches.

and i feel quite good about it even though i'm still working my ass off to feed my domains because i'm not making any money online yet.

The first cash I made through adsense had me jumping for joy, but since then I have made little or nothing most days. I have not given up hope, instead I need to analyze WHY I made money that day and how I can use the same strategy to make money again. It seems to be all about target market should be linked to content and products which should be linked to what you are genuinely interested in.

    God I love this stuff

    Thanks for the post Michael.

When I first started out I flitted between IM, Chinese Imports, Product Development and so on, and eventually learned the IM business.

One of the reasons for not making much money in the early days was all the confusion, often perceived as lack of action.

But as everyone says make that 1st $1 and you're on your way..!
