  • I have a blog on Blogger: "Viral Marketing Goldmine"
Blogging is easy. Just write about what you know,
or are interested in. If you are marketing online,
try to tie your post into your current promotions
with links leading to your website or sales page.

My first post was basically " So, this is my first post."

Now I find my posts are getting almost too long.
The main thing is getting started. Think about
how you can help others by sharing what you know
and you'll come up with lots of good ideas for posts.

I recommend Blogger for several reasons; It is owned
by Google so new content gets indexed very quickly
    in their search engine.

It is very easy to use and as a bonus you can put
Adsense ads on your blog which gives you a chance
    at additional income.

If you need help setting up a blog on Blogger,
PM me, I am happy to share what I know.

The best way to learn is by doing. Start a blog and write about something you know about. Pigeon racing, Formula one racing, horse racing, gardening, drinking, sailing, decorating - whatever.

If you can't think of anything to say, delete the blog and start again. If at first you don't succeed ...........

My idea about it is just write anything that comes out in your mind without ever stopping until you run out of words (don't worry if you wrote it with grammatical and spelling errors). Then, take a break, an hour or a day and then get back to it. For sure you'll be able to spot those errors, bad and good points, as you read your piece, correct it. And do the break again and get back to it. Yes, it's a loop, don't ever stop until you're satisfied with your work. It may take time at first but once you get immune to it, you'll be thankful that you've once kicked a start.

consider this, its a free blog, so take action put something down anything and go from there

the biggest mistake new to this is trying to hit a homerun

but the game is really about doing stuff in increments

so take action this is what it takes

My suggestion if to seek out help of friends and family for editing and such but you have to find a quiet 2-3 hours and brainstorm the ideas relevant to specific niche. The local library is always a good place for me.

Unless you are going to outsource your content try and find something to write about that you are genuinely interested in or happy to find out more about. A ton of blogs are living in ghost town because the owners have abandoned them (probably out of boredom with the topic).

    Good luck

Not to be contrary, but in my experience, the thought that 'Blogger' blogs get indexed better than WordPress, isn't true.

I can't speak for WordPress.com blogs, but Google loves self-hosted WordPress blogs.

Think of your Google searches, and the results you receive. If you land on a blog in the top results, are they usually WordPress or Blogger?

Anyway, to answer your question more specifically Hazlan; when you say, "the problem is how to write a blog", do you mean i) the technicalities of writing a blog, or ii) knowing what to write?

If you're not sure what topic to write about, or what to say, then don't waste your time blogging. Read books on subject(s) which interest you.

Books rock for writing material, and ideas.

Most blogs suck because the writers get their inspiration from other blogs. The result is a mind-numbing circle of useless information, which many don't realise they're trapped in.

There are some good blogs, but most of them are written by readers of books rather than readers of blogs.

Hello, You can almost write about anything you like. Something you are familiar with or have done research in. A personal interest. Always good to plan on what you want to write about and what you set out to achieve. Although blogging should be like a personal journal or diary, it is always good to have some structure around it without being too strict of course!

I use Wordpress however have set up my own domain so that it gives it a professional feel. You can start with wordpress and then migrate the content later. I know some good hosting companies and how to improve rankings with the crawlers! My blog page actually talks about SEO and the like!

Drop me a line if you need assistance on getting the site setup etc.

    Good luck and have fun!
