Domain Name Pro / domain availability checking

Does anyone use/know of Mozzle Domain Name Pro?

Looks to have some cool features, but I'm amazed it is not mentioned anywhere on the Warrior forum (at least I haven't found any mention of it) which makes me a bit sceptical.

The trouble with registrars or anyone you look for domain names with is that they sell the results so you need to buy as soon as you choose.

    How do I know?

I do a bit of training and all the domains I use as samples are bought within a couple of weeks of using them.

I used xyzcompany.com a number of months ago and its gone.

So when you use these services or enter tests in registrars then be ready to buy.

  • Registrars will sit on any query now for days to weeks to drive up prices. If you want a domain don't check it at a registrar... do a search for it in Google and see if it's showing or not Then if you want it as soon as you do check you had better be ready to buy.

    Thanks for the replies.

As I understand it, this tool doesn't do any registrar checking - it is all by DNS lookups and WHOIS lookups - and so it shouldn't flag any interest with any registrars. However, I suppose it is possible that a PC based tool might communicate back like spyware...

The particular interest for me is spotting potentially deleting domains.

I use Market Samurai's domain module, but a couple of days ago stumbled across the fact that the domain that exactly matched the keywords I was researching was overdue for renewal. Domain Samurai had simply reported it was not available, but in truth it might become available in the next couple of months, and would be worth waiting for. It may well get renewed by the owner, but I would like to at least be aware of this possibility going forward. Domain Name Pro seems to offer this functionality, but the fact it has not been mentioned once on this forum (until my OP) even though it has been around for a few years makes me wonder if I have stumbled across a tool which doesn't live up to its claims, or suffers from some issues - but if that were the case I thought it would still have been mentioned somewhere on here.
