First of all I would like to thank so many posters at the warrior forum that I cannot fit them all into this post. I have been in the IM game for 5 years but only really saw success in the last 2 years.

I would like to thank those that I have particularly inspired this post: Zeus66, Xfactor, James Penn, Matt Callen, Carty and Daniel Brock.

Why? Not because of their products (although they are pretty awesome!) but because all of them promote the mastery of one IM system. Whether it be autoblogging, a particular income stream like adsense or amazon, list building, product creation etc etc.........

My point is that most of us on the warrior forum come here looking for the quick fix, the ultimate system to end all systems. Quick profits with little work. A click button solution........

There is not one!!! My light bulb moment.

I respect the warriors above and many more because they have taught me not to jump from one system to another.

No, I have not bought all their products but the light bulb moment came to me when I realised that in order to succeed you have to master one part of the IM jigsaw puzzle at a time. Get a plan no matter what area of IM it is and see it through. Master it and then move onto the next income stream. Before if I did not see instant success then I would bin the system and move on to the next one!

Learn all you can from this forum and all the great advice on blogs and TAKE MASSIVE ACTION.

Thanks again

Nigel

Its a tough one for MOST of us to figure out ... Time and learning play a crucial role in our success. Its SO easy to get distracted with ALL of the selling that happens here its no wonder any of us get anything accomplished, so staying on-task and mastering something is a huge accomplishment unto itself. Glad you're there!

I second, third and fourth this. I have been reading and interacting here for about a year now and only joined and downloaded one of the "guru's e-books just yesterday for the first time. I browsed through it and thought to myself.

"All of this top secret information is what I learned over at WF over the past year."

I felt like had already read the book.

WF is THE best place I have found to learn IM.

That's true, you need to know enough about those income systems. I had that light bulb moment too! I'm studying business and after awhile, IM is like any other business. You need to have the proper system in place. But prior to that, you need to carry out enough market research to ensure your business is viable enough. In traditional biz, you have market surveys and researchers to do that. In IM, you have google adwords keyword tool.

Next comes the product or service, followed by traffic generation. Offline biz generate traffic via word of mouth, advertising such as conventional mass media like newsapers and others such as flyers distribution and door-to-door prospecting. In IM, we use SEO, backlinking, article marketing, social networking.

After that, whether you're online or offline, you gotta keep track of your spending and revenue then retain customers for future sales/leads. No matter how you look at it, a conventional offline business has many parallels to internet businesses.

....hang on i ran off topic didn't i?

Don't underestimate how powerful this lesson is! When you're just looking into working in IM, you get excited and the possibilities seem so endless. The excitement part is great - it can fuel your success! But the endless possibilities part is what keeps so many newbies from ever really making any money online. It's like when we're new to this we're like kids who walk into a huge candy store. So many choices! A lot of us end up just kind of staring and drooling, but never making the hard choices when it comes right down to it.

Honestly, it's much harder to keep the excitement AND be disciplined. But figuring out how to combine the two - THAT is the ultimate secret to success in IM or really any MMO venture.
