Yeh... determining whether it is online or offline would be a major factor in what name I would choose.

Which is it, if not both?

Try to think in terms of available .COM urls if promoting online.

The store name doesn't have to be identical to the URL but there should
be a memorable and sense-making connection between them.

In terms of coming up with a name for the business, going cute is
usually a dumb idea. Lots of pet grooming businesses, nail salons, and
hair studios have stupid-cute names. I challenge you to find any
business with a cutesy name that's really grown.

The name should ideally tell what your business does. The more instantly
graspable the connection is the better.

One of the most powerful ways to brand your business is with a mnemonic
strapline. This is more than a slogan. It may contain alliteration,
rhyming, or perhaps a clever mental image that locks the strapline to
your business name. When the person remembers the strapline, they
remember your business name, phone number, or URL.

This was done famously by the 1-800-flowers guy. It was botched by the
"Say it With Flowers" people because they failed to tie the memorable
phrase to their brand (FTD). "Say it With Flowers" is a massive
advertising fail as an audible slogan because effectively they were
advertising for their competition by promoting the idea of buying
flowers, not the idea of buying from FTD. Whether it works better in
print I don't know. I do know I had to look it up to remember what
company uses that slogan and I've heard and seen the ads hundreds of
    times.

I don't have any examples that come to mind about gifts, but here's a
link to a bunch of straplines, some of which contain nmenonics.

    Famous Brand Slogans

Furthermore, it's best if you can build one or more powerful memes into
the strapline which function to make it more memorable and effective.
This is very advanced advertising stuff and there are not many books
which tell how to do it well, but your most useful tools are your own
brain and your skill at using it to invent ideas.

    I hope this helps.

How about something along the lines of 'Best Regards' or Gracious Greetings' or 'Kind Regards?'

It is a bonus when you can find a domain name to match your business name and/or concept.

To be optimal I would decide if I want to be a greeting card store or a gift shop. Specialty niches rule. Look at Brad Fallon's hugely successful weddingfavors.com. Tight, targeted, specialty niche. Or you can focus on greeting cards but add gifts on the side without notice. Almost like a "loss leader" into specialty gifts.

You don't mention if you're trying to capture a domain with keywords, but I was thinking that for this kind of site, a brandable name that people can remember might be a little nicer.
These five are available, at the time of this posting:
    SimpleTokens.com
    GiftsOfAffection.com
    HeartfeltOfferings.com
    DistinctiveOfferings.com
    TheGildedHeart.com

The names with "heart" in them should be easy to create logos for as well.

    Best of luck.

Well, I was going to use this for another purpose - but decided to drop the domain so it should be available:

      thepostmandidit.com

Here is a store called Occassions with the web name "cards and gifts":

    Occasions: Cards and Gifts

You might also think about incorporating in the name the type of card you are selling and who you want to target.....

    Discount Cards
    Specialty Cards
    Custom Cards
    One of a kind
(couldn't think of a word for "high-end", expensive) cards
    Hand Made Cards

Neatgreet.com I like it because it rhymes and makes sense ^.^

The bad thing is .COM is taken, but the good thing is everything else is not taken!

You want to target the keywords "greeting cards" because it gets 1.2 million searches a month. So those keywords should be in your domain name. Doing a cursory search for available domains, the best I found was GreetingCardsShop.org, GreetingCardsShop.net, or GreetingCardsStore.net. I would jump on one of these.
