I've been sat at my desk for so long now, ignoring my friends, shunning sunlight, and probably radiating myself from my laptop. In the process I have...

...written articles and had them written.
I have pasted content, and submitted articles.
I have uploaded blogs and created websites.
I have tweaked code and I have tested software.
I have googled many things, and learnt a lot.
I have written a report and researched an ebook.
I have posted on forums and social media.
I have copied and I have pasted.
I have left signature links and blog comments.
I have SEO'd to the best of my ability.
I have set up accounts.
I have installed plugins.
I have searched for keywords.
I have assessed the competition.
I have compiled lists and drawn diagrams.
I have made tables and I have inserted hyperlinks.
I have budgeted.
I have marketed.
I have designed.
And I have done much, much more...
And I have appeared in search results for Google.

It's a great feeling, to see your site there, no? After all the hard work...

And I have enjoyed every moment of the learning curve.

But, as yet, I have not gotten a single email address, I have not had a single email, and I have not gained a single client nor made a single penny... Maybe I am too impatient.

I have a long list of things that I still feel I have to do, much of it just repeating what I've already done... the article posting, the content writing, the social bookmarking... Is there no end to this beast? Do I still have to keep feeding it, every day with my blood, sweat and tears?

Today, I'm asking myself, is it worth it? Will people come? Will they sign up? Will they stay and read what I have to say? I'm having doubts about the whole project, and whether it will succeed... Maybe I chose the wrong keywords... Maybe the people finding my site are not 'buyers'. Maybe I got it all wrong...

Making a list is a good start, now work on that list in an organized and prioritized manner. Don't forget to have breaks, and have a change of scenery.

Much of it will be repeating, so don't let that put you off, and try not to be inpatient,

All this hard work will all have a chain reaction affect and will pay of. One day you will be getting 1 email subscriber a week, then 1 a day, then 2 a day, then 5 a day, then 20 a day etc etc.

Keep at it, your numbers will increase.

Dont give up, and good luck!

Don't ever give up dood. just keep sending traffic, to your squeeze page and keep testing things. Keep adding, deleting elements from your squeeze page and improve it. Busting your ass is the name of the game and it will pay off eventually.

Sometimes it's easy to get subscribers/buyers and other times it's a serious pain in the ass to get the traffic you're looking for. Just stay patient and don't burn yourself out.

It all comes down to the type of traffic you're looking for. Some of it is easier to get then others. Keep on going and don't forget to use software to automate some of your tasks. It doesn't hurt to outsource either.

I haven't tried fivver. I normally use forums or freelance sites to find cheap labor. A quick Google search can give you an incredible list of freelancing sites.

You are doing what you need to be successful (taking action), so you should be very pleased with yourself.

It happens to everyone what you are going through, especially when you are starting out. It is very frustrating and you start to have doubts in your mind.

But rest assured your lack of results isn't anything to do with yourself, or the stuff you are doing doesn't work. It does.

What your problem is, there are some specific areas that require some adjustment/tweaks and these are holding you back from seeing results.

It could be the market you are in, it could be your copy is weak, it could be the type of traffic you are driving, it could be a number of things.

Once you've identified the specific area(s) that need correction, and correct them - then you will start to see results.

If you want to speed things up and see results quicker, then perhaps you need to get a reputable IM coach/mentor, who can look at what you are doing and anyone who knows their stuff should be able to identify where you are going wrong very quickly.

If you want to figure it out yourself, then have a deep think about which areas of your project you think are holding you back.

It could be something simple like you simply aren't getting any meaningful amounts of traffic. Or your site design and copy is weak.

There MUST be somewhere you have made mistakes, if you were doing everything correctly you would be seeing results.

The good news for you is it is easy to correct mistakes, it is far more difficult to take action.

You have already proven to yourself you can take action, so focus on identifying and correcting the mistakes so you can start to get rewarded for your efforts.

If you're list building through article marketing it might take a while because you need to have your article to be accepted by people or first you need traffic. Then you need people to liek your article and follow the link and then to your squeeze page.

But for all these to happen you might need SEO or what ever other ways you do to get traffic to your articles so this might be the cause of teh delay for your articles to be index and hopefully if you continuing working at it to get to eth efront page.

Also remember keyword research find a keywordt that people actually search not one you think people will search. Try google keyword tool to find EXACT searches so you're not imagining or guessing as much.

And then if you want fast results find some active forums related to your topic or niche and then post there. Be communicative, engaging, and informative. I'm sure people will take notice to your sig.

I personally never relied on article marekting to build my list. I onyl focus on forum posting(it's fun and effective. I'm learning a lot as well) and SEO. Thus far I got a good solid base of 550 Subscribers. It not a lot but it's growing steadily.

I can get an average of about 10 subscrbiers a day if I just post 10 posts/day. Now that's a fair trade off isn't it. 1 post/subscriber? But remember don't be spamming

All the Best and don't give up that easily. If you don't have preseverence it's hard to get anywhere. and one more thing don't procrastinate. It's something I struggle with and I regret it time and time again.

Do you have a clear objective in doing all of the above, i.e. do you have a specific strategy for marketing that you're implementing by doing all of the steps you've elaborated on, or are you just trying to do everything all at once without any clear direction? While it is admirable you're doing so much, doing all this without a clear underlying strategy is pretty much akin to running around on a stationary treadmill, expending a lot of energy BUT not going anywhere!

I'd take a serious look at your sales content (written) to see if it is specific, has a call to action that is compelling and well placed, and to ensure your not selling "features" as "benefits." It all sounds like a copy issue to me, but, I build copy so everything sounds like a copy issue to me.

You've done all those things. But have you ever asked yourself where does your target market hang out online (other than organic search)? Have you ever wondered whether your offer was compelling enough for someone to bite in the first place? Rather than mimic your competition, have you ever tried to twist that offer into something uniquely you?

If you are getting traffic and can measure it, then you can start testing new things to see what resonates with your target. Getting no leads when that is your main directive doesn't bode well. It either means your keywords are a dud or you are serving up a flat offer that isn't resonating with your audience.

    Just my thoughts though.

I think I see the problem. It seems like you are wishing for immediate success, but your actions are more for future success. Backlinking and SEO is great and all, but it takes time to get #1 on Google - that is future success.

And actually, as I look back, you said you DID do forum postings - a quick source of targeted traffic.

    Maybe you should ask yourself:

Are the forums I'm posting on getting a fair amount of traffic?
Are I giving the readers of the forum a good enough incentive to clickthrough to my website?
Is the content I'm posting - the initial impression, so to speak - solid and helpful?

If you are getting the traffic and just not the opt ins, maybe you should rethink your squeeze page. Are you giving away a good incentive for people to give you their email address? Is your squeeze page easy to navigate - is it easy to find where your users can get the content they want? You should definitely use other related squeeze pages as inspiration (meaning if you are giving away a free product, look at squeeze pages of other free products). Inspiration/how other people's methods are working is one of the best free ways of learning!

    1. Have you asked your readers to take action? Most people don't.

    2. Have you put more content out there than your competitors? If you have 100 backlinks and your competitor has 5000, then you need to improve your marketing efforts.

    3. Are you targeting buying keywords?

    Don't give up.

I started doing IM like, three years ago. I took a hiatus of about 18 months for personal reasons.

I got some great knowledge over that time span. I still learn new things every day.

Thing is, when I started out I made some horrible mistakes. I mean, I made some sites which were gawd awful. I have sites that break almost every rule I now know to live by. Heck you already appear to know piles more than I did when I was well into it.

Thing is, these old, crappy, half witted sites still make money. It’s sure not a lot of money, but there are times when I’ll check my clickbank account or CPA network or whatever, and there will be a sale there from a site or giveaway I had totally forgotten I had even done.

I haven’t done anything to earn that cash other than blunder around many many moons ago.

That’s the beauty of automated income, hard work now for no or less work later.
I’m still not making millions, but I am getting slowly closer, and every minute I spend refining my systems is an investment in my future, even if it might not amount to a payday right now.

Even more importantly, the better I get at it the higher the yield.

Think of your experience the same way, and it’s a lot harder to get discouraged about not making immediate sales.

You've already recieved some great advice on where you might improve your processes and sales funnel, I'm sure you'll make the most of it.

    Good luck!

I've asked myself the same questions when I was in your
shoes. And than I got smart and left internet marketing
    all together.

It's far from the "easy set-up make money" it's made out
to be. Maybe it was back in 1999 when it was all brand new.

It's ironic how I've made more in IM than any other time
when I decided to do most of my business OFFLINE.

I just...I will never touch internet marketing the way I used
to again because I've been through almost everything you
    have.

Sometimes, people get it right. They try enough stuff until
they hit a goldmine until that mine dry's up.

    You have two choices:

    1. Keep spinning your wheels and hoping one day you'll get
    results

    2. Try something else where you KNOW x output will get
    x input results.

    I chose number #2.

Offline Marketing. Look into it. You'll be ... pleasently surprised.

I think everyone goes through this. Unfortanetly what a lot of people don't realise is that you can put in as much effort as you can right from the start, but at the end of the day, you just need time. A couple of examples below.

    - It takes time to start ranking better in Google
    - It takes time for people to find your site
    - It takes time for people to build up their trust in your site before they purchase
    - It takes time for SEO techniques. They get better with age
    - It takes time to get your first sale
    - It takes time to increase your first sale
    - It takes time to review your site, and make further improvements

    Ask yourself the following questions:
    - Does your site / business have a strong structure and foundations.
    - Do you have a good product?
    - Do you have a good business model in place?
    - Is your process as simple and easy for users and admin as possible?
    - What are you offering that is different to anyone else
    - What are your competitors doing that is better then you?

    All the best.

There are times also when I get that "always raining" feeling to the point of being upset the whole day.. This is the time that I always think of the good stuff that will happen to me once I continue doing what I have to do.. Internet marketing is a cyclical process, never stop, you're not alone..

What you did is perfect and you did best seo techniques for promoting your webste. But as i understood you want people to register on your website and probably buy your products.
If yes, only having traffic and backlinks is not enough. People should trust to your website. Maybe you get a lot of visitors every day, but maybe people don't find your website useful for their purposes or maybe they don't trust you.
I suggest you to try affiliate marketing for related niches to your webiste. In this case maybe you earn more money. Also if you can give us the address of your website its better and members can help you more.
I myself don't like websites with only a home page and sign up form and i don't register to these kind of websites. Maybe your website is another one of these kinds of websites and people don't interest to your website so they don't register to it.
