Do you give access to your affiliate accounts for outsource employees?

I'm thinking to hire a full time web developer to replace myself. He will have full access to most of my sites as time goes on. Basically I don't want to be doing anything myself.

For things like setting up affiliate sites, does anyone actually trust their web guys to login to their affiliate account see your earnings and grab all the link codes required, or is this a task that I should really do myself? Should I give them the link codes? I guess it's not that hard

What's stopping a web developer creating their own affiliate account and putting their links in my sites? or make them switch every know and then to their own link instead of mine so it's not so suspicious?

or am I being to paranoid, and it much like the big companies like banks who give access to highly confidential data.

You gotta trust people?

Of course, you need to trust the person.

If you have decided to work with that person you need to have an agreement. Yes, trust is important to a business but you need to be careful as well. Outsourcing is a business that trust is the first requirement. Business won't grow if you haven't trusted the company that you're working with. This business has it pros and cons, you just need to find the right company, ask for samples and client references so you can decide.
