Have Entire Email or Summary With Link Back To Site?

I have a website along with an optin to my list. With my optin, I have about 100 or so email follow up messages that contain a ton of great content. My question is:

Should I just have my subscribers read the entire message through email, or should I give a brief summary of the article and direct them back to my site where they can read the whole article? Please note: that my emails contain soft sells with an occasional hard sell affiliate products.

Not sure if it's a myth or not, but I've heard that your site should not have a lot of outbound links. Is this true? If so, incorporating my emails into my site with outbound affiliate links could be a problem. What is the total number of outbound links we should keep it under without being penalized by the SE's?

Anyone have some expert advice?

Just no follow the links man. There isn't a "hard" number for outbound links and usually the better bet would be to add links that either solidify something you are saying or that go to a place you "vouch" for.

All other links should be no-followed.
