Question about BabelFish or similar program

We have an international client who likes the Yahoo Babelfish widget. However, they need to have their website also translatable into Romanian.

I can't find any pertinent information at the Babelfish home section, but is there a way to add Romanian?

If not, does anyone know of a similar free widget/program that can take the place of Babelfish for translating into a wide array of languages?

Thanks in advance.

    Barbara,

Forget Babelfish as a tool to translate websites. It's a gimmick at best.

My wife is from Europe and her native language is not English, so we have played around a bit with a few of those translation sites and the best they can do is equivelent to an article spinner.

However, as a way to kill some time laughing your butt off at the translations they come up with, they are certainly entertaining.

We use the Google AJAX Translation Plug-in on our WordPress Blogs which includes Romanian as one of it's Many Options!

I hope this helps and Have a Great Day!

My apologies as I just realized I didn't provide enough information.

The client is using the X-cart shopping cart and I know from my experience and others, that working with the language files is a fast trip into insanity.

The client is currently having the needed text translated into Romanian by one of their staff members. So that isn't an issue if we need to add our own translations.

There is no Wordpress or anything else to install 3rd part plugins.

Hence why we were using BabelFish, which has been pretty accurate for their site thus far.

There probably is no 3rd party solution, right?
